Rubber Walkway Goes Down Fast, Lasts for Years

  • Scatter-proof recycled rubber walkway is a long-lasting alternative to loose bark mulch
  • Walkway stays put, holds its shape and cushions your feet
  • Keeps feet clean and dry in muddy areas

Here's a smart alternative to bark mulch, made from 100% recycled tires. A landscape backing holds the shredded rubber in place, while it also suppresses weed growth. Each 22" by 72" section is easy to install, and the 2" lip of fabric down one side ensures continuous coverage over wider areas. We recommend anchoring the mulch with our Earth Staples, sold separately.

Recycled Rubber
  • 100% recycled rubber with landscape fabric backing
  • Water-permeable
  • 22" W x 6' L x 1/4" thick

    Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:

This product was installed as a "walk way" for a slightly sloped area of the garden. It was super easy to install and looks great! It gives just the right amount of "grip" so that the slope is no longer slippery.
    Perfect for our place!

      Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:

I originally bought these mats 20 years ago or so, and didn't properly get rid of all weeds before laying them down, thus weeds did grow through after several years. Now I've finally dug
them all up and bought new mats, still same fine
quality and ease of installation. I like the way
they look too, just like mulch! I recommend these
      highly.

        Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:

I ordered two of the mats for two separate uses - one for a dirt cover in a walkway in the garden and one at the entrance to the side porch. Both uses, so far, are working nicely. One caution: the rubber itself is fragile, loosely woven. However, there is a back mat of solid, lightweight material that assists in holding it all together. Walking on these mats has not damaged them and the water drifts off and away.

        Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:

I was tripping on roots and mole uprootings in stone pathways..much smoother to walk over preventing falls.
The mulch is applied carelessly to the backing in gathers and crooked so a roll won't last long. Mulch chips off after 1 month use.

          Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:

I used this product to make a walkway behind the shrubs in the back yard. My dog would run behind those shrubs daily to get to the back door. On rainy days this meant there was always a cause to wash her feet. Now my problem is solved. The walkway was easy to tack down with the offered staples and now it runs all along the once muddy route. Great product.

we used the product for a long pathway with curves. it installed relatively easily but product was inconsistent in thickness. some portions of the 'strips' barely had attached rubber material. I would give it another try.

                  Comments about Recycled Rubber Walkway:

I've used this recycled rubber walkway in my rock garden for a few years now and it works very well. No weeds grow in it or through it and it has held up under Alaska weather extremes. It is not porous, but with careful placement on a very slight slope, I have had no issues with standing water. I bought more to keep weeds from growing under the front edge of the deck -- i will cut it in half lengthwise for that. It's heavy enough to lay flat when you mow over it.

I have several of these in my yard. I use them as both walking paths and erosion blockers. I put plastic liner under them for an added weed and grass blocker. Doesn't get slippery when wet. Holds up in all weather conditions.
