      Best Uses

This urn is designed to have a downspout placed directly into the top but I used the Rain Reserve downspout diverter instead. The Rain Reserve diverter I purchased has two spots for diverter tubes (see pic). I purchased a dual downspout diverter kit on purpose so that I could eventually have 4 urns connected to one downspout. I wanted to see how the 1st urn and diverter worked before I invested in more. I now have my 1st urn connected to one of the rain diverter tubes and we have had a weekend of off and on rain. My diverter/urn system has worked like a pro. The rain was mostly diverted into the white tube attached to the urn (it rained hard so some of it was diverted down the downspout also) until the barrel was full to the top. Then because I had carefully followed the instructions on where the diverter should be placed on the downspout in relation to the urn and the overflow spout to which I attached the white diverter tube, once the barrel was full ALL of the rain was diverted down the downspout. We received 2 inches of rain and the barrel was full within 30 minutes or less. I have experienced no leaks from the bottom where the black hose is attached nor from the spigot (this was a problem in some of the reviews I read).

So my plan is to buy 3 more urns. One urn will be attached to the 1st urn with another white tube from 1st urn additional overflow spout to 2nd urn overflow spout #1. The 3rd and 4th urn will be set up just like urn #1 and #2 and will use the 2nd diverter spot on the Rain Reserve diverter kit.

I feel sure that if I had already purchased all 4 urns and had them set up, I would have 260 gallons of rainwater right now to use in my garden...with 2 inches of rain. Awesome.

PS. I figured out that I can fill a watering can really quickly by filling it with the spigot and the black hose at the same time.
