So far, so good!

Comments about : Pest Fence:

We bought this fence to keep our puppy and the neighborhood raccoons away from our vegetable garden. The lightweight nature of the product is a benefit and a challenge — a benefit in that we could install it quickly and without much knowhow, and a challenge because the dog knocked over the fence when it was newly installed and bent two of the poles. We popped it back up, driving the poles deeper in, and the vegetable patch has been dog and raccoon free ever since! One tip: on our second go, we used some earth staples along the bottom mesh and the fence seems more secure for it.

      Comments about : Pest Fence:

I bought this to keep deer out of my daylily garden. It was easy to set up. The netting doesn't tangle as that thin black type does, and attaches to the sturdy stakes with very tight and secure clips. Instructions state you shouldn't pound directly on the stakes, to first make a hole in the ground and push the stakes in, but I found that using a rubber mallet gently drove them in just fine without hurting the product. Deer now come to the birdfeeders, but stay away from my daylilies -- which I'll finally be able to see bloom this year. It's a great product!

I would like to purchase additional poles/clips

      Comments about : Pest Fence:

I have found that I have way more netting than poles/clips. Also, net staples to anchor the bottom more securely would make this product sensational.

If you purchase this pay attention to the structural integrity. Modifications were needed. I still put wire fencing up against the bottom because I have had creatures make holes in the fence material even when I double it up.

        • Keeping Out Small Pests

        Comments about : Pest Fence:

I purchased this hoping to keep our "60 pounds of crazy" dog out of the vegetable garden. Even though I pushed the stakes in deeply and placed them about every 3 feet, the dog was able to repeatedly push the fence down. Also, there is no good way to make a "gate." We replaced the pest fence with a metal push-in fence and have had no further problems. I gave the pest fence to a gardening friend in hopes it would be a better fit for her situation.

        Rabbits chew through fence

        By JJ Gardeners

        from Glenside, PA

        Comments about : Pest Fence:

Rabbits chew right through this fence, so should not be listed as one of the pests that it keeps out. My fence looks like Swiss cheese, because even if I block one hole the rabbits chew a new one. They can get in and out very easily. I have lost a lot of crops this year to the bunnies, even though the garden is completely surrounded by this fence. Otherwise it is light-weight, a good color, and easy to install--but does not keep out rabbits.

          Comments about : Pest Fence:

Last year one of my dogs started picking the tomatoes in my garden; I would be heartbroken to find them on the lawn. I guess she must have thought that they were dog toys. Then she aquired a taste for them, and I would find her eating them. My other dog and she then began eating the squash and the squash vines. I was not about to let that happen this summer. For me the pest fence was an easy solution; I could not see myself putting up a metal or chicken wire fence which would be time consuming and frustrating.
So far, so good!!!! My puppies don't even know there are goodies in their garden as they don't see a way of entry! The customer service rep was very good at explaining the product as well. am pleased with this product!
