I bought these mainly to use with snipping roses for bouquets. At first I thought these to be wonderful. However, after using them several times, and NOT on heavy stems, the mechanism seems to "stick" with each clip. This is MOST annoying as I want to easily clip each rose, leaf or whatever WITHOUT having to "jump start" the mechanism with my thumb. The same problem occurs when snipping okra from the plant. Makes the entire operation more time consuming and frustrating. Would I recommend this item? Depends...can you tolerate frustration?

I keep these snips with me whenever I'm in the garden. They seem to clean themselves, even after heavy use. I buy them for gifts for my gardening friends and relatives who praise this little tool, too. I like their size. Even small hands can manage them easily, though my hands are medium and I find them very comfortable. I like the bright orange color which makes them easy to locate if I lay them down for a moment. I really can't say enough good things about these snips. I'm glad i took the chance of buying them.

I like the smallness of the clipper. Fits perfect in a woman's hand. Great for snipping herbs or cutting blooms from my annual garden.

I grab one of these snips (I bought a second one!) whenever I'm heading out into the garden. They're great for pruning small plants (tomatoes, vine plants, smaller bushes) and also for cutting flowers and harvesting tougher-to-pick veggies like eggplant and okra.

I bought both the snips and the small pruning shears. They're better for most indoor plants and patio plants than full-sized pruning shears—just as sharp and more maneuverable. Blades clean up easily. The only problem is that the keeper that holds the blades closed when not in use is hard to slide into position.
