Exclusive | Pear Fruit Fly Trap is Effective and Discreet

  • Sparkling crackle glass tabletop trap controls pesky fruit flies
  • Effective and easy to use
  • Eco-friendly: no plastic traps to throw away
  • Includes three packets of non-toxic lure

Who wants annoying fruit flies flitting around the fruit bowl? No one will ever know that this pretty glass pear is also a fruit fly trap, which works like a wasp trap. Attracted by the bait, fruit flies enter and can't find their way back out. Just mix a packet of lure with water, remove the top from the pear and pour in the lure. Every two weeks or so, simply rinse out the pear and add fresh batch of lure — no plastic traps to throw away. Includes three packets of non-toxic lure; additional lures sold separately. Choice of Green or Yellow.

Recycled Glass
  • Recycled crackle glass, metal, 3 non-toxic fruit fly lures
  • Lures contain yeast, sugar and other natural ingredients
  • 4" in diameter x 8" H
  • Keep out of direct sun
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

Comments about Pear Fruit Fly Traps:

The instructions that come with the trap omit one important warning. I followed the instructions without looking at the similar instructions on the lure package. No fruit flies were attracted. Then I read the lure instructions that said the drops of dish soap to be added should not be soap with a citrus fragrance. I had used Lemon Joy. Cleaned things out and started over. No flies attracted until I removed the stem. Then lots of flies were attracted although I had to zap many with an electronic swatter.

Comments about Pear Fruit Fly Traps:

I have used other pest control type products offered from Gardeners with great success. The decision to use the pear trap was due to the need for a trap on the kitchen table and something creative prevents visitors from asking repeatedly about the little white traps. The trap is pretty, unobtrusive, and works like a charm. Glad I ordered additional mix packets.

I do think this works pretty well although not 100%. I'm certain I have fewer fruit flies with it. The vessel itself is a lot larger than I thought.

Placed on the counter top by the fruit basket and a plant, it is very attractive. I haven't seen a fruit fly since I got it.

Cought only 5 or 6 fruit flies in three weeks. Bottom rusted and stained counter top. Also spills when moved. Simply, it is a poor product.

Don't waste your $$$$$$$ this does NOT work. Have had this a couple weeks now and have moved around as stated to attract fruit flies, seriously it doesn't attract anything.

Comments about Pear Fruit Fly Traps:

The fruit fly catcher is much more attractive than others, but it is almost impossible to fill & move without spilling. It is very poorly designed.

I use this near my fruit bowl. Haven't noticed it working yet. If you aren't very careful when moving it, fly deterrent spills.
