Additional Information

Exclusive | Pear Fruit Fly Trap is Effective and Discreet

  • Sparkling crackle glass tabletop trap controls pesky fruit flies
  • Effective and easy to use
  • Eco-friendly: no plastic traps to throw away
  • Includes three packets of non-toxic lure

Who wants annoying fruit flies flitting around the fruit bowl? No one will ever know that this pretty glass pear is also a fruit fly trap, which works like a wasp trap. Attracted by the bait, fruit flies enter and can't find their way back out. Just mix a packet of lure with water, remove the top from the pear and pour in the lure. Every two weeks or so, simply rinse out the pear and add a fresh batch of lure — no plastic traps to throw away. Includes three packets of non-toxic lure; additional lures sold separately. Choice of Green or Yellow.

Purchased this as a gift given the terrific results we experienced last year. We live by vineyards so fruit flies come out in droves in the fall. This is not only functional, but it looks very nice on the counter top

Really cute and fits with décor, but not sure what's in the packet of "stuff" that you purchase separately because within a day or two there were several mold cultures growing in the pear. Disgusting!

The unit is attractive. The top doesn't stay on well. The plastic packets stick together. I ended up making a big batch because I couldn't get them separated. It takes a while to eliminate a large infestation. Be pacient.

A little tricky to set up but does work well when I use it in several places in my kitchen. Good color that blends well on my counter and near the garbage and compost bin. Sorry I dropped the first one after 3 years.

This product is beautiful - but that is about it. I ordered the yellow one and within a few months the bottom completely rusted off. So sad because it did trap fruit flies!

We always get fruit flies, even though we are careful. They're not the native ones with red eyes, but solid black ones. Our friends say they come from the bananas. We tried for years to get rid of them using cider vinegar and a drop of detergent. Swatted them like crazy. Nothing worked. Until we tried this trap. Yes, it takes a couple of days for them to find it, but now for the first time in years, they are totally gone! Hooray! Am buying another one for a friend!
