Description

  • Sturdy support for climbing peas
  • Makes efficient use of garden space
  • Durable and long-lasting for years of use

Our new favorite way to grow peas! This Pea Tunnel makes the most of tight garden spaces and fits nicely in a 3' to 4' raised bed. Plant a row of peas on each side and they’ll climb up and over. In the meantime, plant spinach and salad greens underneath — you’ll be done harvesting the greens by the time the peas are ready. Set up several end to end to create a long, arched tunnel to support two rows of sugar snap peas, snow peas or shell peas. Simply reach into the tunnel for easy harvesting. Simple to assemble, easy to take apart for flat, off-season storage.

I am doing a garden for my grandkids who showed much interest last year. I put a soft mulch through the middle so they can walk through the tunnel and be in the garden. As another reviewer stated - wish it was bigger so adults could walk under. I will likely add another tunnel next summer. I love this!

I was surprised at how easy it was to set this up. It looks like it will last for many years of use. My peas are already up, and there's plenty of room for lettuce and arugula on the inside of the tunnel. What a great way to save space in a small garden!

Bought one two years ago and it has worked and lasted great! We put a row of peas on the inside and another on the outside. Peas trellis well and are easy to see and reach. Bought another this year to expand pea bed. We grow cabbage and rutabaga under the tunnel. Once the peas are gone they have sunlight and room to grow.

For several years, I've planted my peas along the fence that encloses my blueberry bushes and for the last 3 years, the neighborhood groundhog has eaten all of my peas before I am able to pick them. This year, I decided to move the peas to another location far away from the pesky critter but i couldn't find the appropriate location. It seemed like every time I attempted to use one of my fences, the plants were damaged or eaten. While I was looking at the cucumber supports on the website, I discovered the pea tunnel and decided to take a chance. I ordered one tunnel which arrived quickly. It took me about 30 minutes to set up the tunnel after I unpacked it and inspected for any damages or missing parts. The design is so unique and ideal for peas that I ordered a second tunnel and set it up near my first one. It's been several weeks since I installed them, and I'm happy to report that my peas are growing up the netting. The open design allows you to plant other items within the tunnel if you are limited for space in your garden. The only drawback I can see would be to offer the design in a taller version so that a person could walk thru the tunnel when picking the veggies.

I've been having trouble growing peas for several years since the rabbits get the sprouts as they grow up the garden fence. With this trellis, I can grow the peas inside the garden, away from rabbits, and still have the support I need for the tender sprouts. I'm excited to give this new product a try. I also like that the kids will be able to walk through the "tunnel" and pick peas as they ripen.

The spring pea harvest I grew on a trellis on the wall failed from disease and insects. My problem was air circulation and this tunnel was the solution. Though only 2' from the old site, the peas on this trellis were robust and healthy, producing through late november here in Baltimore. Am using the sturdy tunnel to support row covers for the winter and am expecting this tunnel to last many, many seasons more. Great product.
