Additional Information

Exclusive | Support Tunnel Grows a Harvest of Tasty, Tender Peas

  • Sturdy support for climbing peas
  • Makes efficient use of garden space
  • Durable and long-lasting for years of use

Our new favorite way to grow peas! This Pea Tunnel makes the most of tight garden spaces and fits nicely in a 3' to 4' raised bed. Plant a row of peas on each side and they’ll climb up and over. In the meantime, plant spinach and salad greens underneath — you’ll be done harvesting the greens by the time the peas are ready. Set up several end to end to create a long, arched tunnel to support two rows of sugar snap peas, snow peas or shell peas. Simply reach into the tunnel for easy harvesting. Simple to assemble, easy to take apart for flat, off-season storage.

      Comments about : Pea Tunnel:

Use for sugar snap peas which grow very, very tall. Have 2 tunnels which I have end to end in my 4 x 8 foot raised beds. They are narrow enough at the bottom that they would fit into a 3' wide bed but with less space to plant seeds. My husband and I used PVC pipimg to raise the tunnels so the peak is a good 6' off the ground. Peas still grow higher than that! I also do tie some of my peas up, especially on the side that gets most of the sun since plants tend to grow in that direction and away from the netting.

Great addition to a populated herb garden

      Comments about : Pea Tunnel:

Half my raised 4x8' raised bed had had chives, mint and cilantro in early spring, too early to plant my peas. I put the tunnel right over them and planted a row each of peas on one side and sugar snap and snow peas along each half of the other side and all the plants are thriving - great investment - and it looks nice in my garden, too!

      Comments about : Pea Tunnel:

I've had my pea tunnel for about a month and my peas are now climbing up about 18 inches on both sides. Spinach is growing underneath and it all is looking pretty great in my raised bed. This is the best way to grow peas and I ought to know as I've had gardens for over 60 years! I know they grow up any old trellis, but this tunnel is an attractive way to do it,

      Comments about : Pea Tunnel:

It is my own fault that I didn't pay attention to the dimensions of the trellis. It is very small and looks silly in my large garden space. It went together easily and looks like it can be stored and used year after year, so I will have some pleasure from it, but feel it's not much for the amount of $$ spent.

      Peas still blew down

      Comments about : Pea Tunnel:

The tunnel fit in my 4x4 raised bed, the sugar snap peas grew up the netting and over the top by at least a foot, and lettuce and arugula did well underneath. Unfortunately a few days before harvest the top-heavy vines blew off the tunnel in a thunder storm. I would recommend tying them on as they grow, especially near the top as the vines do get higher than the tunnel.

I am doing a garden for my grandkids who showed much interest last year. I put a soft mulch through the middle so they can walk through the tunnel and be in the garden. As another reviewer stated - wish it was bigger so adults could walk under. I will likely add another tunnel next summer. I love this!

I was surprised at how easy it was to set this up. It looks like it will last for many years of use. My peas are already up, and there's plenty of room for lettuce and arugula on the inside of the tunnel. What a great way to save space in a small garden!
