Hide a Key and Don’t Get Locked Out

  • Keep a spare house key handy and safe
  • Doubles as whimsical garden art
  • Place it in your foundation bed or in a potted plant

This stone stack has a secret: It keeps a spare key safe and sound. A wiser alternative to hiding your key under the doormat, it will look right at home in a border garden or tucked into a potted plant. A metal peg in the center holds one key.

Different than other key hiders

By Steph

from New Jersey

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Cute
  • Deceptive
  • Decorative

Cons

  • Can Still See Key

Best Uses

  • Decorative
  • Hides The Key

This is made of two stones with a steel pin driven into one and a hole drilled in the other to attach each other. It does hide the key and to me, it is deceptive because it's different from others. The only problem is that there is no cavity for the key to sit in, it's literally inbetween the two stones, so it can still be visible. I have it sitting in a place that will make it relatively unnoticed, but if seen, people will think it is a decoration. I like the metal ears and tail. Just don't think it's going to hide the key completely.

Mouse Key Hider

By Shut Out...

from Phoenix, Arizona

Verified Buyer

I lock myself out of my home a lot due to a self closing door. This is perfect and blends in well.

No more standing out in the sun waiting for a locksmith or hoping that I left a window unlocked. LOL

Pros

  • Adds Accent

Cons

  • NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

Best Uses

I thought that there would be a cut out space to hide more than one key and to protect the key better.
I might recommend this item, depending upon what my friend was looking for.

    post in wrong place

    By sandy

the post is in the bottom third of the item. When a key is put on (to hide), if you prop it up (so you can see the cute design), the key falls below and then can be seen. Otherwise, it is a clever idea.

        Disappointed with large size.
When you look at it you can easily see key from side. Something with indentation for key and no mouse would suit me better.

I use rocks, some gathered, some I have painted, in my gardens. This disguise fits into my garden fairy area, and seems to be a unique way to allow myself to forget my key.

We all love your rock creatures so when I saw the rock key-hider I bought for everyone in the family as Christmas gifts. They were a hit. Keep those rock creatures coming!

Just the right size for the small to medium winter birds in my yard.

                River rock keyholder

                from Wilmington, De

                Verified Buyer

                Pros

                • Natural
                • Similar To Landscape

                Cons

                  Best Uses

We have river rocks as mulch so the key holder fits right in. The wire coil makes it obvious to those 'in the know' but not to potential troublemakers.
