Comments about : Modular Raised Bed:

description was incomplete. The fact that it didn't have a bottom limited where it could be placed and how it could be used.

Comments about : Modular Raised Bed:

I was looking for quality raised beds that complemented my home and garden shed and found these from Gardeners Supply. They are just what I was looking for and more! I designed my vegetable garden around these attractive raised beds. I purchased 9 units: 8 were configured 2' x 7' and 1 - 3' x 3'. The 3'x 3' unit was placed in the center with the 8 units surrounding the center unit (see photo). This year I grew peas, cucumbers, lettuces, radishes, carrots, brocolli, cauliflower, dill, basil, cocozelle, marigolds, kale, turnips, beans, swiss chard, spinach, peppers, celery, and scarlett runner beans in these units. Everything grew very well even in our short Montana growing season. The only thing I think which could make these units better is to offer more sizes. I had to use the cedar raised beds on the other half of the garden to accommodate bigger crops such as corn, squash, and raspberries. Overall, I'm extremely happy with these raised beds and look forward to many more productive years with these. Thank you Gardeners Supply!

Comments about : Modular Raised Bed:

Purchased four of these beds in the Fall 2015 when they went on sale to expand our current custom build wood raised beds. Just put them up Saturday 05/2016 with some apprehension. Was unnecessary. The parts were all present. The beds went together quickly and easily without a hitch. Took about 30 minutes for two of us to construct two beds in the wind and sand. We lined the bottoms with black plastic to avoid water loss and weeds popping up. The light tan color was a good choice and attractive sitting on the rocky silt of both our mesa top and the sand of our co-op garden 1000ft lower down the hill. I've only one apprehension left-- the rubber gasket that lines the top of the beds. In NM the sun eats up everything--not metal? GONE! I'm waiting to see how long it lasts. Report to come later with images of our garden full of veggies. A friend came by after the beds were constructed and marveled over their look. He may even buy a couple.
