The little birds love it!!

By none

from Maine

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • bigger birds can't get in and eat all seeds
  • keeps bigger birds out - little birds have it al
  • perfect for the little birds

Cons

  • should have holes in the bottom so water drains

Best Uses

Comments about : Mixed Seed Globe Cage Feeder:

see cons above - my husband drilled holes around the bottom and now the rain water can drain out and not leave the seeds a soggy mess in the bottom. Otherwise, it's a huge success - finches, sparrows, nuthatches, titmice(mouses?) love it.

The smaller birds, like finches, prefer this feeder. The cage keeps larger birds and squirrels at bay.

This is the most interesting feeder I have

Comments about : Mixed Seed Globe Cage Feeder:

I really enjoy watching the goldfinches eat from the feeder; I have it next to a small cherry tree where they line up for the next free feeder. And the tree provides protection. I also have a sock feeder, but they still come to this feed. If I could afford more seed, I would buy more globe feeders

      Love this, but more if...

      Pros

        Cons

        • Cardinals, cowbirds in. Base replacement tough

        Best Uses

Comments about : Mixed Seed Globe Cage Feeder:

There is a lot to love, but there could be a design improvement, It's a lot easier to put a metal binder clip in 3 places to attach the tube, rather than use the screws and nuts. I just replace these when they rust out.
