Exclusive | Pop-Ups Provide Instant Pest Control

  • VIDEO: How the Pop-Up Covers Work
  • Safe and effective barrier excludes many types of pests, including insects, birds and animals
  • Reduces the need for pesticide sprays
  • Quick and simple to install

Self-supporting mesh enclosure keeps out insects, birds and animal pests like rabbits — even dogs and cats — while letting in light and rain. Fine mesh allows good air circulation while protecting plants from harsh, drying winds. Pop-Ups install in minutes and fit snugly over 4' x 4' or 4' x 8' raised beds; they can also be used over Grow Beds and in-ground plants. Built-in corner loops and anchoring stakes (included) let you secure Pop-Ups into the ground. Use Low Pop-Ups (20" H) for low-growing crops like greens, beets, carrots and strawberries. Covers fold flat for easy off-season storage.

Bought it to see what the woodchuck babies would do. The baby tried to jump at it and the pop-up bounced it right back. Mom next cuffed the baby and they went off to eat something else. Never bothered it since. Useful and highly entertaining!!

I used this to cover my newly planted Winter Squash seeds. They have been dug out and eaten by critters in our woods in the past. This low pop-up has kept them out as well as weeds and stuff blowing around. Water and light get in just fine and my plants have never looked so good. I will have to try it with my peas next. I am extremely happy with my purchase and will probably be back for more !

This is a great product. I raise hybrid (500+ pound) pumpkins. When the pumpkin plants sprout from the ground, they are very fragile. This device works great to protect them.

WARNING: the stakes they provide are a joke. Any good gardener rototills the soil before planting. If your soil is tilled, then the 6 inch stakes they provide won't be long enough to anchor down the tend. I had to use 4 of my orange fiberglass winter driveway marker poles to really anchor this down. I put one on each corner. Once I did that, the product worked like a dream.

In an effort to keep out insects, the close mesh makes it so dark inside that it interferes with photosynthesis.
Have 10 of your 3x3 "tents". The mesh is slightly larger, but still seems to keep out insects. Have compared broccoli plants inside the 3x3 tents with the same plants without the tents. A marked difference so I wonder why the extreme close mesh which I am reluctant to use other than for very short periods.

Am recommending the 3x3 to friends, not the 4x4

I purchased my 2nd order of Jiffy Pots so that I could transplant them directly into the ground without removing the plant from the pot (and upsetting the root system). Although my purchase may be insignificant compared to others, I ordered it on a Monday and had my product the same week on a Thursday without expedited shipping. I'm happy that I don't wait weeks or months for my order.

This is actually a great product! We recently had very high winds with over 45 mph gusts. The product didn't move, using provided stakes. It is installed on top of our existing raised beds. Not only does it keep insects out, it has so far kept out bunnies and rodents, which are a problem in our very rural area.

Would be very cool if the top was attached with a zipper or velro to make access for weeding and thinning that much better.

This fits perfectly on my 4x4 raised vegetable bed. I'm using it right now to warm up the soil and keep squirrels from...being squirrels. Later I'll use it over lettuce and cabbage, etc., to deter squirrels and bugs. I bought one last year and it did such a great job (through snow, wind, etc.) -- it wasn't even attached with the landscape pins they send -- that I wanted another. They changed the color on me, tho, so now I have one white and one green; not a huge problem, just would have liked them to match (the yard is tiny, so the little things matter). The new one doesn't seem as sturdy -- the wire on one of the sides seems to be turned the wrong way so it doesn't snap out or fit as well as the other one....I'm on the fence about recommending it to a friend -- the thing is, it's a great idea, and I don't think there's anything else out there like it. In fact, my dream is that they'll make one with netting so I can keep the squirrels out but let the bees in.
