    Comments about Deer Fences:

Last year I erected a deer fence to provide protection for new lilac bushes. Deer come through the neighborhood often and snack on nearly everything. While I try to plant their least favorite foods (salvia!), I love the smell of lilacs in the spring. The nicest thing about this deer fence mesh is that it doesn't interrupt the eye during a survey of the garden - it can be seen, but it has a quiet presence. Very easy to handle, too. Deer walk around the 7' high enclosure and leave in disgust. I read that it's best if the open space inside the enclosure is not wider than about 4 feet, so that deer are discouraged from trying to jump in, so that's how the perimeter was laid out. However, just as the term deer-"resistant" is preferred to deer-"proof" when discussing what's on the menu in the garden, I must hasten to add that a determined deer who walks in through a gate mistakenly left open may panic and try to jump out, in which case you'll have some mending to do. This happened recently, and when I finished kicking myself, I saw that only the top foot or so tore where the deer ticked the fence on the way out. All in all, I'm quite pleased with this solution.

Not as heavy duty as I was looking for but seems to be sufficient. Far better than anything I could purchase locally. I have not yet had an extended experience with this fence but so far I am impressed. We do have a lot of deer.

            Comments about Deer Fences:

Call this "lightweight netting," not "heavy-duty fencing." We have purchased much heavier fencing for about the same price. It was also 8-ft-high, not 7 feet as is this. To keep out deer, you need that.

              Comments about Deer Fences:

Been using the heavy duty fence for 7 summers now. Love it! Installed with metal fence poles, secured it with black flex ties- we have a lot of wind - and the deer circle and head butt it, but can't get in! The rabbits, however, chewed little doors for themselves all around the bottom, requiring us to install a rabbit fence around the deer fence! Has anyone tried leaving this up over the winter? Wondering if it can stand up to severe cold and lots of wind and snow?

                Comments about Deer Fences:

Heavy deer population at our place. They tend to nibble on things they are not supposed to like. Using this to protect a young magnolia tree at the edge of the woods until it is big enough not to suffer significant deer damage. It is thin; almost invisible from a short distance. Bought 6 ft poles from home depot and used tiny zip ties to assemble. Because so thin, it got a little tangled during assembly, but not a big problem. So far so good. I believe it will act as a deterrent but it's not so sturdy as to keep out a really determined animal.

                Comments about Deer Fences:

We put up a fence (the heavy duty) around a plot of grapevines on open range in deer country, and this kept them out. Also enclosed berry vines completely and it kept out birds too. The heavy duty version is worth the price and much easier to use than wire. This is our second purchase of this item.

                  Comments about Deer Fences:

This fencing is awesome! It far exceeds my expectations, especially at this price. I am not able to find any product even somewhat similar to this locally. I use netting on a frame support to protect bluberry bushes from bird damage. It is strong enough that I will be able to use it for many years, thus saving me quite a lot of money. While lightweight, the material strength is very impressive. I have had no bird or critter able to break through it and it is comfortable to open and close, as well as lean against while picking. Highly recommended!

                  Comments about Deer Fences:

The fence was light weight, but needed a little more structure at the top(ran a wire through it) to post as a fence. First night it was up a couple of deer ran through it creating a couple of pretty big holes. A couple of tabs at the bottom to secure it there may have been helpful.

                  Comments about Deer Fences:

We have used numerous methods to protect our blueberry bushes from wildlife. At this point we figure we are paying about $50.00 a quart ! This product has been the most economical and easiest to set up and is stronger than we anticipated. This is the first year we have used this method, so far so good ! Durability can't be judged just yet but the unexpected strength will help. Large enough mesh to allow bee pollination yet small enough to keep out smaller rodents (chipmunks, squirrels etc.) Though it is made of polypropylene, what can you do?, we are overall very happy with product just wish we found it earlier to avoid the quart cost now from past protection products.
