Hungry Ladybugs and Mantises Devour Aphids and other Insect Pests

  • Beneficial bugs are a safe, natural pest control
  • Control aphids, beetles, grasshoppers and more

Ladybugs and praying mantises are voracious predators of many garden insect pests, including aphids, whiteflies, spider mites and mealy bugs. We'll send you your choice of approximately 1,500 adult ladybugs or an egg case of 200-300 praying mantis eggs — each adult will eat several times its weight in insect pests, daily!

Product Details
  • Ladybugs (Hippodamia convergens) help control aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, and mealybugs
  • Mantises (Tenodera aridifolia sinensis) eat aphids, beetles, grasshoppers, caterpillars, moths, mosquitoes, and other insects

Comments about : 1500 Adult Ladybugs:

We released the ladybugs into our working greenhouse to help reduce whiteflies (no aphids this year).
They are easy to deal with, no biting. Not expensive, and shipping was only a couple days.
Even though there are still a lot around, they still get out through small cracks, etc, so many are released to the wild, but it doesn't appear to hurt anything, and we do not have outdoor insect pest issues.

It was not as big of a deal as I thought to buy and release these. I'll do it again later in the season, because I am not sure if it worked. Although, I haven't seen any spider mites lately so it could have. Will try this again earlier in the season.

I spread them around my zucchini, pumpkin and squash plants a couple of months ago. I don't have any aphids or other bugs that eat my garden plants. Rarely see them but they are doing a great job. Easier to use than pesticide and don't have to be reapplied every week.

Comments about : 1500 Adult Ladybugs:

Received 3 egg cases in plastic bag & put on windowsill, pretty much forgot about it, and within 3 weeks or so, saw a lot of activity as tiny praying mantis were scrambling about! It's true that the egg cases look undisturbed, have no idea of actual size when they first emerge. So, if they are put outside immediately in a safe spot as directions say, seeing the tiny mantis may be quite difficult. Keep checking the garden to see if we can spot them & check their size now!

The lady bugs arrived alive and active. I distributed them in my rose garden that evening. Went out the next morning and - no aphids. I am very pleased.
