This is a great way to control pests (particularly cabbage loopers and other cabbage worms) on cabbage family crops. No more worms or worm droppings! I love being able to see right through the mesh (unlike spun row covers). The mesh is easily permeable to water and air. The wire supports slide through casings in the mesh fabric, and it's easy to slide the cover up to weed or harvest. My only problem with the product is that it doesn't come in a taller size which I'd love to use for growing broccoli.

I love this product. It was very handy to protect my lettuce garden. I was able to put the product together over my garden, and reinforce the edges quickly. There are a few changes I think this product should have. More choices for length sizes is one to consider. My garden has a 4x4 plot, but I needed the product to cover only half of my garden length wise. I had to remove the additional hoops I didn't need and bag the unused fabric in a plactic bag so it wouldn't get dirty. Second, the edges of the fabric should be scooped outward to allow the user to bury the soil and seal the edges easier. Finally, the product should come with a storage case to put the product away for the off season.

Each year my eggplant gets chewed to smithereens. I decided to try this cover in my small / mid sized organic garden during the heavier beetle season, here in Eastern PA. It worked great. The leaves are all still intact and its August and I've got plenty of really nice looking eggplant! What I like most is its so sturdy. Easy to gather up, set up and because my garden space was smaller than the length, I just gathered two sections together at the end. It has a nice toggle gathering cord. The mesh is fine but allows good watering. Its easy to clean, I simply set it up out side the garden and hosed it off. Perfectly priced I can see it lasting for several years. Held up in three large storms with heavy wind. Didn't move an inch.

I wanted a cover for my carrots as I thinned them out - to prevent carrot fly from damaging my plants. This was easy to put over my containers and protect them and the hoops kept the netting from laying flat on the plants.

            • Keeps Cabbage Moths Off

I found the hooped netting very easy to set up. The biggest plus is that I don't like to use chemicals to keep insects off my veggies if I don't have to. I was having problems getting my cabbage plant to grow well because the cabbage worms were eating most of my plants. Now with using the netting they are growing well. Yeah--I finally will have beautiful cabbages for the first time in two year.

It's early in the season. We're hoping to stop squash vine borers from attacking our zukes and summer squash. We may need a larger hoop system - this is our first try. If it contains the plants ok it should work great!
