        Comments about In-Line Connectors:

We designed a 48' section of raised flower beds and started looking for ways to make the installation easy. I found these connectors (and the Corners, see separate review) and bought them (the 10"). They couldn't have made the job any easier. My wife loves her new beds and they look great. Literally the only thing I would have wanted different was maybe a few more screw holes. We used stacked 2x6es and each one only got one screw per side. But since I can drill holes that's no reason to drop it from 5 stars. Great product, glad we came across it.

I am replacing my older raised beds with new and higher beds. Since they are 4 feet x 8 feet, the in-line connectors are needed for stabilizing.

              Comments about In-Line Connectors:

I bought the larger connectors, but they've only been drilled to fit 2 x 12's. Next time, I'm going to drill them out for 2 x 6's. The 2 x 12's are heavy and awkward to work with, especially if you are using pressure treated wood.

In a perfect world, this would've already been done by factory. Then you could've been given the choice what size wood to use.

These were very easy to work with. Somehow I didn't realize that they had a cross beam connector too, even though its shown in the picture. That was a happy bonus for me.

                    Comments about In-Line Connectors:

I used the 12" connectors to make two 24 ft long, 4ft wide raised beds for growing dahlias and flowers. The connectors are very solid metal painted brown on the outside. In the center of the connectors is a hole which was perfect for inserting a 2 ft long 2x2 wooden stake which I pounded in to make the bed solid. The beds look neat and professional. I used standard 2x6 8 ft long pressure treated lumber, stacked 2 high on each side, and had no trouble at all inserting it into the connectors. It was snug as it should be, but no difficulty getting the lumber in there. I didn't like paying the price for these, but on the other hand, they made a nicer, more solid bed than anything else I'd figured out on my own.
