Substantial gardening tool. It does all it says it will do, weeding, cutting twine, planting. I don't know why I waited so long to get one! I keep it with me all the time I'm out "playin' in the dirt". I know some family members who love gardening and it looks like they'll be getting one also.

I'm replacing my original knife, 30+ years old! left to the elements. The knife I gave my mother, well used over the same time, was passed on to a grand daughter in NM.
These do last for decades, great diggers, helps pulling deeply rooted weeds out. I also use mine planting bulbs, potting house plants.
I'm so happy I found a replacement. I've been looking and the price is right here.

What a fantastic multi-functional tool. I use it for planting, but don't have to switch tools if I find a vine or weeds, or even weed barrier cloth in the way. With the hori knive I can dig, cut and weed with one tool.
If you're trying to decide - think no more. Just get it!

                          • Dig Up Ornamental Grass

I inherited a multitude of ornamental grasses which have run amuck in my glower beds. This knife cuts through the interlocking roots and reduces the time it takes to dig them up dramatically. Also used it to edge the grass around open flower beds. Cerrated edge helped dig up clumps of grass. It's great in digging up weeds -- slips under the root and pops them out of the ground. I have nothing negative to say about it. It's become my favorite gardening tool.
