High Intensity is an understatement

My veggies got a huge jump start. I started my tomatoes from seed on April 10th with the intention of setting outdoors by Memorial Day weekend. The planting instructions on the seed packet stated to start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before setting outdoors. So I planted the seeds as instructed in 3 inch pots, placed under this high intensity light, and they germinated in less than 5 days. By May 5th, the plants were over 6 inches high and consequently outgrew the pots. As a result, I transplanted into one gallon containers. By May 20th, at 18 inches high, the tomato plants outgrew the gallon containers. Now I have no choice but to plant early outdoors in my permanent location and to keep my fingers crossed for warm weather.
I also started cucumbers and melons from seed on May 5th in 3 inch pots and placed under this light. The seed packet stated to start indoors 4 weeks before setting outdoors. They germinated in 3 to 4 days respectively. Now, May 20th, 15 days from seed, the seedlings are 2 inches tall with 2 sets of leaves (in addition to the starter pair of leaflets). Now I will be transferring into larger 8 inch pots.
Bottom line: do not start your seedlings too early when using this grow light. Prepare for a 2 times growth rate. In other words, if the planting instructions on the seed packet says to start in pots 8 weeks before, then cut that time in half to 4 weeks (Always divide the time by 2).

Very good, but watch for this problem. .

I have had several of these lights and obviously like them well enough to have repeated the purchase. They are very bright, quiet and easy to hang with a pulley system, so they can be raised and lowered to tend the plants. (A simple ring--the stout kind you can thread keys on--works well as the base of a home made hanger.) So overall I love my system. The lights and a small fan to keep air flow have created many sturdy starts. BUT one of the reasons I have two is the back two bulbs of my first set quit working. I ordered new bulbs. Backordered until too late in the spring! So I bought another hood thinking I could split up the bulbs and have a larger seed starting area. Yes I could, but when I did I realized it was not the bulbs but the wire connection. So watch for this. If it gets bumped at all the male/female plug that creates the continuoius loop on the 2 and 3 bulbs will justle loose. If you have any trouble with the bulbs check this first. It has happened repeatedly with the NEW one I bought--look at the non-cord side for the problem.

I bought two of these to hang in my garage as I overwinter my potted citrus trees. Hung them on chains so I can adjust as the trees grow. Really really bright light! My trees are so much happier now than with my previous clamp on grow lights. Highly recommend!

I use them to have an inside vegetable garden in the winter. Not sure it would work. But I'm actually getting tomatoes on my cherry tomatoes.
I'm growing all kinds of vegetables with it.
Green beans and everything. I have 5 of them. Best lights ever in my opinion.I wanted a light that would bring my vegetables to fruit.
This is the one. Don't forget to buy the hangers with it.

Really haven't used this product, yet. Have it set up in my basement to begin my spring planting. We had some difficulty with the connectors, but after contacting Gardeners Supply this problem was quickly resolved. (we were setting up backwards). This grow light is lightweight and with the additional hangers I am hopeful that it will be adjustable as my plants grow. I plan to begin in late February with vegetables.

I start all of my veggies and annual flowers from seed, so having a good grow light is important. I bought one of these a year ago, and liked it so much I just treated myself to a second one.

Every winter my patio plants have to be stored in the basement with very little light. Some died and others turned yellow. I purchased this light a month ago and the plants are very healthy. I will start my seeds next Spring under this light and I'm going to try to grow lettuce inside this winter.

I use this for an indoor seedling light. It was mostly very easy to set up and seems to have been very good for the seedlings. Only negative (very minor) was it took several minutes to figure out how to turn the bulbs into the mountings so they would light up
