Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

A beautiful crock but apparently the designers never used it for its intended use. The middle bulge but most particularly the rim impedes the removal of a bag even 3/4 full. One needs to break up everything into small pieces or the bag rips as one attempts to remove it. We like the pretty piece and are working around the design flaws.

Attractive on the counter-top, compared to our old, smelly Tupperware.
Arrived well-packed and timely. Highly recommend for the kitchen. It's much easier to trek to the compost pile outside w/ our "crock".

We are disappointed in the crockpot composter and bags. The bags fill up and you cannot get them out of the pot without them tearing open. If the crockpot was not as rounded I think it would work better. Have not used the fruitfly items as yet no fruitflies to use them on.

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

This crock works just as advertised with no odor at all as long as you leave the lid on with a filter. Sure, you have to shake it around a bit because the lip catches some "stuff" when you dump it. So what, it's really not a big deal to give a few extra shakes and it's way less trouble than having to run to the compost bin while preparing a meal or in the rain/snow, (that's what we did prior to having this crock. We had an "incident" with our crock related to the loose handle and Gardener's Supply Company took care of us with absolutely no hassles whatsoever.

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

I use the compost crock to collect kitchen scraps for composting.
The compost crock is attractive on the counter. There is no odor with the lid and filters.
The capacity is large enough for a days kitchen compost.
The food scraps catch under the lip on the crock. It makes clean up more difficult when I empty the crock.
