Placed over a 4X8 raised garden bed in November. Temps see sawed between 70 and 19 degrees within days! I just covered it, kept it on and barely watered it. Checked under the cover after a month and have the largest most beautiful Spinach, Bibb Lettuces and Baby Carrots you ever saw! AMAZING product. It does let light and moisture in; it DOES protect against severe freezes. My family and friends are sold on this cover. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future!!

                  Comments about GardenQuilt Cover:

I have a Tower Garden, hydroponic/aeroponic garden with a gorgeous tomato plant and lettuce growing on it here in the CA desert. Nights can get very cold and threaten my plants. I built a PVC frame around my vertical garden and clip 20' of the quilt on and around the frame and plant. My plant is thriving with lots of blossoms.

                  Comments about GardenQuilt Cover:

Living in central Alabama, I bought the garden quilt in fall to help protect my winter garden from what I thought would be the occasional dip into the mid- to upper-20's. When the forecast last week predicted temps dropping to the teens I covered my raised beds and crossed my fingers. The temp was about 40 when I put it on, clothespin clipped it to the Super Hoops, and used planks and garden clips to anchor the edges around the base of the raised beds. Temps went below freezing for 3 days, dropping to a low of 10 on the coldest night. I held off until it warmed up to 50 before opening up the covers. Amazingly, my garden survived! It wasn't completely unscathed, as I lost the lettuce and peas around the edges and the broccoli shows signs of frost damage on the leaves that were in contact with the fabric, but at least I know I can pull my winter veggies through the rare hard freeze. They also held up well to my adventurous barn cats. My only criticism is the available sizes of garden quilts. My beds are 4x8 with hoops almost 3 feet above the top boards. I had cut the 20x12 quilt to make two 10x12s, but what I really need is an 8x14.

                    Comments about GardenQuilt Cover:

I live in Las Vegas and have quite a variety of succulents, agaves and cacti, some in pots others planted in the ground. It dips below freezing at night a few times every winter and one must protect these guys! I've used a different brand of frost cloth before, but not with a great success rate. This year I was very proactive and built two frames out of pvc pipe, about 2 ft. high and 4 by 6 in length and width. I set them around my ground plants and added pots in as well. I purchased this garden quilt, tightly pulled it over the frame and securely fastened with pins. For a few nights in December I believe the temp got to 25 degrees F in my area. I did also use a piece of plastic sheeting over the quilt. So far my succulents look very happy! I checked them after the cold streak and they looked very healthy. My main tip is to use a frame of some sort and do not let the quilt touch the plant. Other individual plants that I covered around the yard had frost damage where the cloth was simply draped onto the plant itself. Overall I was very happy with the quilt and felt the size was generous for the price. It also repelled water somewhat when it lightly rained. It seems of very high quality.
