  • Innovative, low-maintenance planter guarantees a maximum harvest in minimal space!
  • Complete organic kit — just add a tomato plant!
  • Kit includes Honeycomb Planter, 33" high support, one 20-qt. bag of Organic Self-Watering Potting Mix and 1 lb. of GSC Organic Tomato Fertilizer
  • Make it mobile! Add optional Casters, sold separately
  • Sized for 1 tomato plant; we recommend a compact determinate (bush) variety that grows up to the height of the support
  • For taller varieties, add our Tomato Planter Support Extension, sold separately, which provides an additional 15” of support

New! Last year several customers reported such a bounty of tomatoes that the plant's weight grew too heavy for the support. Our redesigned support is extra-sturdy for this year's tomato bonanza!

Nothing tastes better than tomatoes harvested fresh from the vine! Now you can look forward to a season’s worth of bounty with our revolutionary planter. Advanced technology makes this small-space system a convenient and foolproof way to grow a super-productive tomato plant right on your deck or patio. Also great for peppers and eggplant. We recommend using the included tie-back to secure the planter to a post or railing.

Success starts in the roots. The perforated planter with Honeycomb Ventilation and lightweight Grow Bag liner air-prune roots, ensuring a dense, vigorous root system that can take up more water and nutrients — the secret to a super-productive plant.

Dual-Hydrate Watering System. Draws water from the reservoir into the soil two ways — an evaporative grid plus capillary strip — efficiently providing roots with water.

Customizable support. The heavy-duty support is integrated into the planter, to provide support wherever and whenever it's needed — and you can open, reattach and lock in the rings to gather up and support wayward branches.

Not what I had hoped for

By PR

from DC

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

I bought this hoping it would live up to my expectations. It didn't. First it was hard to assemble. Either the soil that comes with it is terrible or the design I'm not sure but our plant looks terrible. It's spinally and yellow. We have another plant in a regular plastic pot that's huge and thriving. I have pictures too. I bought two pots at first but immediately sent one back after assembling the first and saw how cheap and just plain stupid it was. Too expensive and doesn't live up to its promises.

Good product little tough to assemble

Pros

  • Great size for small patios

Cons

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

Really love the size and casters make it even better. I assembled the base I let my hubby assemble the supports as I saw other reviews about the difficulty. He actually discovered that by assembling the rings and clips before putting on the planter was easier. He was able to manipulate the clips better and then just slid the assembled supports onto the pole. Hopefully this suggestion helps others out.

      Pros

      • once assembled it fuctions well

      Cons

      • fabric too small for planter
      • not easy assemble
      • planter cracked in shipping
      • planter plastic should be thicker
      • ship soil in separate box
      • supports should be pre-assembled
      • support too complicated

      Best Uses

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

first planters were cracked as shipped with potting soil which moved around in box. replaced planters for free. supports should be pre-assembled - then it would be easy - otherwise difficult. New clips coming but still better to have it assembled. fabric for container doesn't fit - smaller and should be one piece and fit above the top of container. see how tomatoes grow this year

        Pros

        • Great idea. Will wait to end of season.

        Cons

        • Ring clips need redesigning
        • Top and bottom do not have a positive fit.

        Best Uses

        • Movable planters

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

Top and bottom of planter need a better design assuring a more positive, secure connection of parts.
I am checking that I will recommend to a friend with some reservations because of the above. Might upgrade my comment at the end of the season.
There is no mention about replacements for the liner for a new season.

        Prepare to be Frustrated

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

I haven't had a chance to see how the tomato plant grows yet, but I could never rate it higher than 3 stars because of the clips. I watched the video several times-no luck. Tried snapping things together with pliers- no luck. Tried heating the locks so they would bend easier- no luck. I finally had to rely on my trusty bag of cable ties. I would never buy another one unless the clip issue is fixed, and next time I won't leave the store without verifying that the clips work.

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

I received this a few weeks ago, and because it was too early to plant a pepper in it, I decided to plant flowers instead until it warms up. Easy to assemble, attractive and well constructed.

        Clips are a pain

        By NMDOC

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Garden:

I have not planted my tomato plant but the clips to secure the rings are a nightmare. I must've watched the instructional video a dozen times( I think I am fairly educated; I am an M.D.) and it was still difficult. It took me over an hour and many blisters later the clips still did not lock. I definitely would not go through all this trouble for a tomato pot again. We will see if it actually grows some tomatoes in my hot New Mexico climate! I usually have no problem with Gardener's products and order from them often but this was a disappointment.
