Additional Information

Exclusive | Our Revolutionary, Self-Watering Tomato Planter Guarantees the Maximum Harvest in Minimal Space — New and Improved for 2017!

  • Innovative, low-maintenance planter is the surefire way to grow terrific tomatoes
  • Includes self-watering Honeycomb Planter and integrated 33" high tomato support
  • Make it mobile! Add optional Casters, sold separately
  • Sized for 1 tomato plant; we recommend a compact determinate (bush) variety that grows up to the height of the support
  • For taller varieties, add our Tomato Planter Support Extension, sold separately, which provides an additional 15" of support
  • We recommend filling the planter with one 20-quart bag of our premium Organic Self-Watering Potting Mix and 1 lb. of our GSC Organic Tomato Fertilizer, sold separately

New! Last year several customers reported such a bounty of tomatoes that the plant's weight grew too heavy for the support. Our redesigned support is extra-sturdy for this year's tomato bonanza!

Nothing tastes better than tomatoes harvested fresh from the vine! Now you can look forward to a season's worth of bounty with our revolutionary planter. Advanced technology makes this small-space system a convenient and foolproof way to grow a super-productive tomato plant right on your deck or patio. Also great for peppers and eggplant. We recommend using the included tie-back anchor to secure the planter to a post or railing.

Success starts in the roots. The planter's Honeycomb Ventilation and lightweight Grow Bag liner air-prune roots, ensuring a vigorous root system that can take up more water and nutrients — the secret to healthy plants.

Dual-Hydrate Watering System. Self-watering planter supplies roots with consistent moisture and reduces watering chores. A new, larger port makes it easy to fill the reservoir.

Built-in support. We've reinforced the heavy-duty, integrated spine and Snap-Lock Rings to provide support wherever and whenever it's needed — and you can open, reattach and lock in the rings to gather up and support wayward branches. A new tie-back anchor offers even more stability.

I purchased two of these after buying one as a gift last season and have been very pleased with them. My tomatoes are growing well and the plantern look nice on our deck!

Putting them together was not difficult at all.

The support stand was extremely frustrating to assemble. Very poor engineering or lack of quality control. Not sure which. After 4 weeks I still haven't been able to get all of the pieces to go together . They don't "snap' together as instructions provide I would defiantly not recommend this until quality improves.

I bought two of these to try them out and am amazed how my tomatoes are growing. My other plants are in a raised bed and not growing as good.

It unit itself isn't dificult to assemble however the locking clips are a challenge. I own the old style and the newer version and have had no problems with growing tomato's plants in either version. To conquer the draining issue I have bought igloo style drain plugs and installed them myself to help with periodic draining if necessary.
Also I've purchased and added to casters to make it very easy to move the unit around on the outside deck.

              Don't Buy it

Comments about : Gardener's Revolution® Honeycomb Tomato Planter:

I was very disappointed in this product. Directions unclear, picture of items did not correspond to name of item, too difficult to put together, too time consuming. Grow bag, flimsy, open in back, with one long tab, for unknown reason. Clips hard to install and bottom tabs impossible to close. Reading "You can do it" did not help me with my frustration. Loose cord, guessing to hold plant....no description of such. Hard to water from above. Not worth the expense. Plus- castors for moving.

This product stinks. I have two plants side by side. One is this pot, another in a regular plastic pot. The plastic pot is great, plant is huge, lots of fruit. The GS pot with tomato is terrible. Spindly, yellow and all around sickly. My husband thinks it the poor quality soil that comes with the kit. I think the fancy reservoir gives the plant too much water. Any way, the total design is terrible. A waste of money. Really terrible to assemble.

Was very disappointed in the flimsy construction. Made in China and the trellis part was a thin string, not for tomatoes or much of any vining plant. The liner for the honeycomb pot wasn't as thick as landscape fabric. Would have returned them but the cost to return them was more than what I paid for them. Never will do business with this company again!
