Not featherweight

Comments about : Featherweight Coil Hose, 25':

Works well enough, but it is rather more heavy than I expected. I'm using it to water orchids in the basement. I found the uncoiling a bit too stiff. Maybe it will work better outside in warmer weather, or after I've used it awhile. Hoses often behave that way.

Perfect for what I needed!

By DogMom

Comments about : Featherweight Coil Hose, 25':

I needed a short light hose to clean and refill our birdbath in the winter. This is just perfect. I can hose out the bath and refill it without dragging out one of our big heavy hoses. This hose drains quickly so I can bring it back indoors.

Lightweight Coil Hose

By Gardening John

from Wakefield, MA

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Compact
  • Quite Rugged

Cons

  • Significant Pressure Loss
  • Somewhat Pricy

Best Uses

Comments about : Featherweight Coil Hose, 25':

This hose is great for watering plants on my deck as it retracts to a small size, thereby keeping it out of the way of foot traffic. I had previously used several expandable hoses but they began leaking after a relatively short time. The only negative for this hose is that the small inside diameter greatly reduces nozzle pressure, but for my application this really is not a problem. However, the pressure loss could be a significant problem if the hose was used to water a large garden or lawn.

I have bought other hoses that were similar from other companies but they didn't last long in the Florida sun. This one seems well made.
