Comments about : Expandable Willow Trellis, Small:

Although the trellis is sturdy, attractive, collapsible etc., even the large size is still too short for pole beans. I wish there was a size that was at least a foot taller so that the beans don't outgrow the pole. Otherwise, I love it and instead of using it for pole beans will use it for Morning Glories.

My kids use this inside the house as a teepee. They cover it with blankets and play inside for hours. I plan to put it in the yard eventually, but for now, they won't hear of it. The cat also likes to sit in the center.

Just started our pole beans on these! Love how they look in the garden! So easy to set up and use. The grandkids are calling it their bean teepee! Once I bought the first one, I knew I had to have another. Would be gorgeous with flowers as well!

Comments about : Expandable Willow Trellis, Small:

I bought a large one this year thinking it would be an attractive and distinctive support for my pole beans. I've had it out for a few weeks, but everytime I set it up, at some point the wind blows it down (and not even in high winds). I think I'm going to next try what one of the reviewers said - digging a circular trench and setting it up in that. Other that this, it is very attractive and seems sturdy enought to survive at least a couple of seasons.

This is my second time purchasing this trellis. I first bought it in the large size 2-3 years ago. I have a clematis growing on it. It is very attractive and adds some nice visual interest. It would occasionally blow over so we had to dig a little trench to keep it stable. Winds from Hurricane Matthew broke it for good last autumn and so this is the replacement. Was very happy to see that Gardener's continues to carry this because I love the natural look of the willow.

Comments about : Expandable Willow Trellis, Small:

I ordered this on a whim to create a bean teepee for kids to play in at the community garden. I had planned to bring it over to the garden to store until springtime, but my kids and cat have been playing with it nonstop since it arrived a few weeks ago. At first I was worried the trellis would break as the kids kept expanding and contracting it while using it as a teepee, but it seems to be holding up quite well. I got it on sale and it was a great value, the kids have already played with it more than they play with most toys! And the cat loves it too, for some reason.

Comments about : Expandable Willow Trellis, Small:

The medium size isn'the nearly large enough for pole beans and when the vines get to the narrower top they become one thick mass of vines. The supports are a nice feature in the garden though. I will find something else to grow on them next year.

I experimented with the tall cones, tying twine around the "waist" to keep them from expanding too much and sat large saucers in the cones on the top. In one saucer I placed a smaller one, which I fill with bird seed, and on the other cone I use the saucer for water. They make a beautiful bird feeding station and next year I will have them covered with flowering vines as well. I will cover the twine with burlap ribbon, and I think it will be gorgeous. Too bad they are out of stock now or I would buy more as gifts for the people who have admired them.
