    • Usefull As Deer Barrier

    Cons

      Best Uses

I have deer coming through in herds, eating all my landscaping plants. I put these up as a barrier around the perimeter of my house, and the deer can't get my plants. After a while, they change their route. Love them! I also use them in the garden in the traditional pea and vine trellis fashion. They should last for years, are very sturdy, and easy to store.

Before trying to set up this trellis I would recommend locking the sections together by bending the hinge pins 90 deg.I made the bottom section one piece and the top section two pieces. This will keep all the pieces from falling apart when you try and set it up. If you make the top piece all one it is very difficult to align all the joints up. If you want to change the configuration later you can just unbend the hinge pins and take it apart. Looks great once you get it up.

              Best Uses

              • Holding Up Heavy Vines

I bought two of these to contain my golden raspberry plants that tend to lean all over everything. I needed something sturdy enough to keep them upright but have large enough openings that I can put my hand through to pick the berries that are lower down. This was the perfect solution! It was easy to pound into my sometimes-difficult soil (I used a rubber mallet) and sturdily holds up even the heaviest canes. These are MUCH sturdier than anything I saw locally, and a very good price as well. Highly recommend.

This looks nice. It is too short, It is still early in the season and my peas are about to grow out the top. I did not get the higher one because of the expense but that may turn out to be cheaper. I now have to figure out how to make the trellis higher to accommodate my peas.
