Comments about Elba Potatoes, 1 Lb.:

Product was good but there was a delayed delivery and no tracking information. Zones require planting at a certain time. A delay may limit the growth period.
I was unhappy as when order was placed I was told that it was ready for shipping. Apparently, NOT!

Comments about Elba Potatoes, 1 Lb.:

I bought both the potato bags and the elba seeds. I had such a great harvest for an urban gardener. I was very impressed. It yielded about 7lbs of potatoes. I still have one more batch to harvest!!

Comments about Elba Potatoes, 1 Lb.:

These seed potatoes are great-- healthy and hearty so far (but harvest is still a month away). I'm growing them in the potato grow bags and they're doing wonderfully. One drawback for me is that they were mailed on a Maine farmer's schedule, which I certainly can't fault them for, but our planting seasons here in Florida are a bit different. That'll teach me not to buy locally next time. March is the end of my spring planting window but these didn't arrive until mid-April, so not great timing.

Comments about Elba Potatoes, 1 Lb.:

Took 5 pieces of the seed potatoes and planted them in my Potato Bin. Wow! They are growing really fast. Planted the remainder of my seed potatoes in my raised-bed garden (same identical soil as in Potato Bin) and they are doing very well, just not as robustly. Apparently, the shallower (warmer) soil in the Potato Bin accelerates growth substantially. I expect to get a large harvest from both, based on how they are growing. Instructions were very easy to follow, seed potatoes were healthy on delivery, and I plan to order this and other products from Gardener's Supply again, and again.

I have used seed potatoes in the past and always had to cut them-leaving a few eyes on each. The 1 lb. bag of potatoes that I received contained had 5 smallish potatoes with only one or two eyes each. Not what I expected - but we will see how they grow.[...]

Comments about Elba Potatoes, 1 Lb.:

I've planted potatoes before in containers and simply used sprouted potatoes I had in the kitchen. This is my first attempt using purchased "seed" potatoes. [...] also a couple of sprouts which I'm told to expose to sunlight to "green up" before planting. Still early in season, will be planting them this week. Update at end of season.
