Using this on our cedar fence and gates. Application has been easy and toxic-free. No idea yet if it will hold up to our Pacific coast winds. But result looks very nice.

Easy to mix and to apply. Product makes one gallon. Does not stain - leaves a "patina finish" that will age with time. Great for doing the inside of my planter boxes!

We used this on our raised beds three years ago. Cheap fir wood. Still looking perfect three years later, AND going through Vermont winters. No sign of breaking down, and beautiful color. So thrilled with this product, and hope it lasts many more years. If you're worried about it lasting, don't be.

Comments about Eco Wood Treatment, 2 Oz.:

I was looking for something to both preserve the wood of my raised bed cedar planter and change the color enough to blend in better with our house and deck. I had not seen this when I ordered the planter.
I called to ask about using regular deck stain (my husband's idea), and got a very helpful person who suggested this product. I am much happier with a food grade product for my garden, which I am doing as organically as possible.
I had problems with the powder settling, and needed to keep stirring, which the instructions did not mention. While the manufacturer recommends dipping the wood in the solution, this was not feasible with the plantar. I did dip the floor planks in as much as my pail allowed.
I used a paintbrush to put on 2 coats, and still had about half of it left.
Since this product is from Canada, the directions are given in imperial gallon and liters. Since they also said you should use it triple strength for wood going in the ground, I just used an empty gallon jug that had held water.

I have used Intl Eco wood treament for years and slowly its been disappearing off shelves and getting difficult to find - sometimes the old solutions are the best solutions. I'm happy to see Gardeners' Supply is carryng this great product. Even using common pine board, willow/bamboo trellis or 2x2 stakes, the Eco product transforms the "lumber yard" look into a graceful aged patina. My cedar raised beds blend into the landscape and my cedar fence is protected as well. I cannot speak more highly of this product. And, its safe for food consumption.

I applied the ECO product to redwood 2x12 boards for raised beds. It mixed up nicely, was easy to apply, totally noninvasive in terms of odor. I've just recently assembled one raised bed, so the effectiveness of the product has yet to be tested in my garden, but so far everything has gone as advertised, and I have no reason to believe the useful life of the preservative will not be as described.
