We bought the crop cage to protect my blueberry bushes. It was easy to assemble and it looks great. We are looking forward to not sharing our blueberries with the birds.

This cage did not protect my blueberries

I bought this blueberry cage because it looked like it would protect my blueberries while giving me easy access. It turned out to give me easy access as well as 2 squirrels, a flock of mourning doves and 2 robins. The netting is secured to the bottom poles with ties with about 6 inches between each tie. The birds were able to make openings and get in that way. I tried to correct this by putting rocks around the bottom perimeter and that seemed to secure it. However, within a few days, the squirrels had eaten through the netting and decimated the rest of the crop. I was disappointed with the design of the enclosure and the quality of the netting. It is a good concept but poorly executed. I lost $50 and half of my blueberries. Next year we will make our own enclosure.

For years I haven't been able to eat any of my blueberries because the Cat Birds get to them before I do. This year I bought the Crop Cage and am finally getting to enjoy my blueberries because the birds can't get them. I love it!

I have had the "cages" up for over a month now. The birds and groundhogs have stayed out and I finally have tons of blueberries. I had no problem with the wind knocking them down. I was a little hesitant to buy because my yard is like a wind tunnel. But extremely glad I did buy this product!.Well made product, easy to put up. Great company!

Bought this to protect our dwarf cherry from the birds and raccoons. Breeze to setup and put in place. Zippers seem prone to splitting open at first, but they have held up so far. Also, the cage has taken our spring winds nicely. Would not try to use it in our winter winds, but not needed then anyway. Overall good results so far - we have lots of ripening cherries, untouched by the wildlife.

Despite covering my tomato plants with netting, for the past few years the chipmunks and squirrels had eaten more of the tomatoes than I had, and, in frustration,I had decided to stop planting tomatoes. But then I saw this item and thought it might be just the ticket to thwart my tomato thieves. And, so far, it's been fantastic! Lots of undisturbed tomatoes on the plants. Two features I particularly like: I am 5' 6" tall and can stand up inside of it and, also, I can water the containers through the netting.

I bought this product to protect my dwarf cherry tree and with the hope I would get to eat the cherries. The crop cage was easy to assemble and erect. However, I found the fabric ties to be useless and secured the netting to the frame with plastic ties. There are cherries on the tree and I hope they will be mine to enjoy. If so, I will owe it all to the crop cage.

                                                    • If you're trying to keep birds from your crops, any scare device will work for a few days. But the most effective technique is exclusion.
                                                    • Dreaming of a backyard berry patch? An asparagus bed? Start with a raised bed. A raised bed isolates the perennial crop from invasive weeds and grasses that might creep into the growing area. All have shallow roots that don't compete well with weeds and that can be damaged by aggressive weeding tools.
