  • Raised beds increase yields and they're less work to tend
  • Naturally rot-resistant cedar with decorative copper caps
  • 10-1/2 inches deep, perfect for deep-rooted crops like carrots
  • Choice of two sizes
  • How much soil? Use the Soil Calculator to figure out how much you need for this raised bed

According to many experienced gardeners, the ideal raised bed is a trim rectangle, attractive and easy to tend. Our Vermont-built raised beds are made of durable, rot-resistant red cedar. Copper corner caps further inhibit rot, and give the whole bed a handsome, finished look. We offer a 3' x 3' size to use in smaller areas or in combination with the larger 3' x 6' bed. Both sizes are 10-1/2 inches deep, ideal for deep-rooted crops. When looks and durability count, these are the raised beds to use. Hardware included, even matching copper nails for the copper caps.

  • All hardware included
  • Sides are 10-1/2" H
  • 3' x 3' bed holds 9 cubic feet of soil
  • 3' x 6' holds 18 cubic feet

Comments about Copper Cap Raised Beds:

I bought the 6X3 foot bed and it looked and worked great for 4 years. After 4 years all the wood rotted out and the nuts and bolts were corroded beyond use.I live in an area with lots of termites and no freezing winters The copper caps still look great and should last for ever. The brackets could be reused if you can cut the hardware off. If you don't mind replacing this bed every 4 or five years or you live in a termite free area, then this could be for you otherwise you might cosider the not so pretty plastic versions.

Comments about Copper Cap Raised Beds:

This past spring, we assembled two 3' x 6' Copper Cap Raised Beds. We filled them as suggested by Gardener's Supply website, and planted our normal varieties of vegetables. We also used various Gardener's Supply growing supports. Our plants were extremely healthy and prolific.

As a result our remarkable crops, we just ordered and received a third bed, and we will probably order a fourth!

Comments about Copper Cap Raised Beds:

This is a beautiful raised garden. I bought two and love the high end look of the copper caps. My complaints: One set arrived with no screws or directions so I had to go buy screws at the hardware store. Frustrating for a $200+ item to not arrive with all the pieces. Also, I read reviews stating there are no pre-drilled holes and difficult to assemble without a wood drill. I was unable to get the screws into the wood and had to buy a wood drill. Assembly was a breeze with the drill. If you don't own one and want this set buy a drill! Also certain pieces of wood were discolored from the rest of the set. For the price I would expect better quality control and pre-drilled holes. I love the look of the copper caps and am overall happy with the set.

I have three rectangular and purchased a square just for mint. My others are over ten years old and have weathered nicely even in the desert climate.

Comments about Copper Cap Raised Beds:

I bought this to replace my crumbling raised bed garden that I built out of non-treated lumber. The non-treated lumber only lasted a couple years in FL. This raised bed is a thousand times more attractive in my yard than the old one, so I am happy. It was easy to assemble by myself and I found I did not have to pre-drill holes like some of the reviews mentioned. Just screwed them in, was easy with my drill. I hope it lasts more than 2 years!
