I don't get it.

Comments about Rodent Screen:

It's too small Like, way too small. I wish I had read other reviews before I bought it. I filled in the gaps with steel wool so hopefully that will work but I am dubious.

Pros

  • Keeps rodents out

Cons

  • Could be a smidge bigger

Best Uses

  • If you have rodent problems

Comments about Rodent Screen:

Ok took off one star because it could be just a bit bigger. Took two of us and zip ties and about twenty minutes to get it to cover the entire bottom. It does cover the bottom and no more rodents.

    Good, but could be better

    Pros

    • Easy Assembly
    • Good Heavy-duty Material
    • Great Concept

    Cons

    • Needs To Be A Bit Larger

    Best Uses

      Comments about Rodent Screen:

Made of good heavy-duty material, but could be an inch or so larger. The screen was difficult to place so that there weren't any openings around it. When installing it, we would get one side in a good position, however the other side would be off. We did manage to get it centered. Hopefully, it is still in place under the compost, as we do have problems with rodents. Great concept, but please make it larger. I would recommend it, as the screen does go with the composter, but if I could make one or find another that fit better I would go with another one.

            Comments about Rodent Screen:

I was glad that the rodent screen was suggested as a companion piece to the composter. It was something that I might not have thought of on my own but recognized the need for such a screen.

Easy to install with the composter. Just drop it in.

Great solution for pest free composting. I'm new to bin composting. Screen allows airflow and keeps pests at bay. Great idea GSC.

                    • Keep Rodents Out

                    Comments about Rodent Screen:

I got the screen to prevent rodents from coming into the composter from below. It's only been in there a few weeks, so it's too soon to tell if it works the way its supposed to. The screen doesn't quite fit the bottom of the composter, but the gaps are probably too small for any rodent to get in (about 1" either side). But don't underestimate the power of a mouse. Will have to see how it works out.
