    • Needs To Be A Bit Larger

      Comments about Rodent Screen:

Made of good heavy-duty material, but could be an inch or so larger. The screen was difficult to place so that there weren't any openings around it. When installing it, we would get one side in a good position, however the other side would be off. We did manage to get it centered. Hopefully, it is still in place under the compost, as we do have problems with rodents. Great concept, but please make it larger. I would recommend it, as the screen does go with the composter, but if I could make one or find another that fit better I would go with another one.

            Comments about Rodent Screen:

I was glad that the rodent screen was suggested as a companion piece to the composter. It was something that I might not have thought of on my own but recognized the need for such a screen.

Easy to install with the composter. Just drop it in.

Great solution for pest free composting. I'm new to bin composting. Screen allows airflow and keeps pests at bay. Great idea GSC.

                    Comments about Rodent Screen:

I got the screen to prevent rodents from coming into the composter from below. It's only been in there a few weeks, so it's too soon to tell if it works the way its supposed to. The screen doesn't quite fit the bottom of the composter, but the gaps are probably too small for any rodent to get in (about 1" either side). But don't underestimate the power of a mouse. Will have to see how it works out.

                        Comments about Rodent Screen:

The screen is sturdy and well made, but it's too small for the composter so I doubt it can really keep out the critters.

                        Comments about Rodent Screen:

It is of good quality material and workmanship, and easy to place from the top of the bin. However, after years of feedback from customers, Gardeners Supply, I don't understand why you haven't re-sized it just a little larger to fit more snugly in the pyramid composter. Also, to allow worms to work through the screen easily , I would size the mesh gauge just a little larger.

                        Comments about Rodent Screen:

When I bought this rodent screen for my pyramid composter years ago, I was surprised that it was just barely big enough to screen the bottom area, and I noticed that reviews at the time mentioned this. I thought by now this would be addressed, but when I recently bought an additional composter and screen there was no difference. As it is, the screen can be inadvertently pushed to the side far enough to allow a gap for rodents to enter.
---Please Folks, ENLARGE THE SCREEN!!!--- It is a good product, but would be perfect if it was bigger
