Handy Connectors for DIY Tepees or Bamboo Trellises

  • Set of 8 clever connectors let you easily create a variety of garden structures
  • Each one fits up to six bamboo canes or other stakes from 1/4" to 1" in diameter
  • Long-lasting and reusable

Each of these ingenious, daisy-shaped connectors let you easily gather up to six bamboo canes into a trellis tepee or other structure. Made from silicone and rubber with six holes, they stretch and flex to hold bamboo canes from 1/4" to 1" in diameter. They can be used to form right angles and a-frame trellises to support climbers like pole beans, cucumbers, and morning glories. And they're much easier to use than trying to tie with lashing or twine. The connectors will hold structures securely all season long and can be reused year after year. In addition to bamboo, they can also be used with twigs, stakes, and copper or plastic pipe, too.

Comments about : Garden Cane Connects, Set of 8:

I made supports using bamboo poles for morning glories in containers. These little things made it so easy. I can see how they might rip as they age, or if the supports are large, but I like the idea another user wrote that you can just pull a second connector over the first to solve the problem.

I used these to connect three bamboo rods to set up a trellis system for my beans. They stretch nicely and were easy to use.

Comments about : Garden Cane Connects, Set of 8:

I've never been good at lashing or making teepee supports for vining plants. These connectors are super easy to work with and adaptable. I've created teepees for beans and used them as horizontal supports for peppers. I've been able to use the twigs and sticks in my yard for vege supports instead of buying cages. These connectors with bamboo supports make my garden more attractive and expansion of the supports will be easier as the garden grows. Very happy with this purchase.

Used to make a tepee for growing pole beans in a kids garden. Made a nice large circle; held the poles in place so kids could sit in tepee.

                Too small for bamboo stakes

Comments about : Garden Cane Connects, Set of 8:

6 of the first 10 I used (with Gardener's bamboo stakes) split within 2 days. Tried re-attaching using an alternate hole - every one split. Either the holes are too small or the material is too brittle.
