The perfect match for today’s sleek, modern kitchen, this pail is also extremely practical. Stainless steel won’t take on the odors or colors of onions, garlic and other pungent food scraps. It easily rinses clean and is dishwasher-safe, too.

We really like the clean, compact stainless steel design of this kitchen compost pail. Fits very nicely on kitchen counter without taking up much space, yet has ample capacity for produce scraps, crushed eggshells and coffee grounds. Lid fits tightly, yet comes off and on easily, so no odors. Very easy to clean!

      Don'r buy

Comments about : Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:

I left this on a shelf on the back porch the first winter I had it - under a roof but easily reachable by humidity, freezing and thawing. These are normal for Indiana but stainless steel is impervious, right? HAH! When I got back in spring after surgery, complications, and prolonged, slow convalescence, I was astonished to find it cracked from the upper rim downward, and rusted inside in random places. So I retired it to dry indoor duty. This was several years ago but it still irks me. Gardeners Supply has reliably been my source for quality items: this has been the only disappointment.

I bought this because it was more modern looking to fit my kitchen. I also thought the stainless would be more durable. We haven't had it very long and the knob rusted and snapped off. The bottom warped too. Ugh. I'll probably buy a nicer looking pottery one somewhere else.

Comments about : Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:

I have been composting for years and I have always had a plastic container to hold my kitchen scraps. I figured I should grow up and buy a cool indoor stainless steel pot. I bought the one stated here and within a couple of weeks the knob broke off. I tried to use gorilla glue, but that would not hold it on either. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I'm back to my good old plastic Tupperware container.

Comments about : Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:

We generate a lot of kitchen waste and are dedicated composters. This bin is attractive and a good capacity (especially relative to the ceramic bins). We really like the fact that it does not have a vented lid, because that helps limit fruit fly issues. However, it seemed to rust (developing 3-4 weak spots on the bottom) and leaked. Really disappointing.
