        Comments about Lashing Cord:

This is the best product for tying up plants. Knots hold securely and the twine is not obvious to a casual observer because it is fine and black. I've used it to guide bean vines and secure top-heavy tomato or blooming plants. I've even been able to use it over again, saving it from previous years.

              Comments about Lashing Cord:

Used the lashing cord to make bamboo trellises. The sticky/waxy quality of the cord helps it stay put during lashing -- far superior to the regular twine I used to tie the trellises together for the season. Only downside: When adjusting the trellises in the sun the cord gives a bit and I had to be careful not to push too much on the joints as they could slip apart and dissemble. If you order 50 pieces of bamboo, as I did, and intend to do alot of lashing get a second roll of cord. The first roll didn't cover assembly of six 7' trellises with five rails each and I had to order extra mid-project. I'm sure I'll be using it for other projects too.

This saved me so much time for tying back plants with bamboo poles. It's sticky so when you go around the poles, it sticks. I got this done faster than had I used a regular string. Thank you to the representative who insisted I get this to use with the bamboo poles!!!

                      Comments about Lashing Cord:

Contrary to the description, this cord is not flexible in the sense of stretching to provide a tighter lashing. It is, however, flexible in the sense that it is a lightweight cord that can be handled easily. The waxed feature is what makes this product so useful because it keeps the cord from slipping during the lashing process once it is pulled tight. I am unsure of how well the cord will hold up to the sun and heat of a Texas summer where temperatures can range from 90 degrees to 110+ degrees; however, the cord does not seem to have any problem in the 70 degree to 80 degree range. Subject to seeing what happens over the summer, I would recommend this product.

                        Comments about Lashing Cord:

Surprised when I first saw it as I have not seen cord like this before. So easy to use and very strong. The wax allows it to be securely tied and I'm sure will help prevent it from rotting from the sun or weather.
I will use this cord for future projects around the house and yard.

use them to tie fencing to stakes, the wax keeps the tie from getting loose, however, don't leave in the sun, the wax melts. But brought in the shade it quickly became it's own self, as I thought it would.

                            Comments about Lashing Cord:

I am ordering a second spool today! I made bamboo trellises 4 years ago and they are still in use. This produce has amazing holding qualities for something so narrow.i can see how using too short a strand could give in bad weather or strong wind but there is no reason to be stingy in wrapping it around bamboo poles.. I am careful when lashing sharp sided metal to make sure there are six or seven layers and that there is no give. The natural stretch or "give" helps to insure a tight wrap.
I have used it in Michigan and in the Arizona desert!
