I am using this product for pole beans. Never planted pole beans before. with my bad back i thought i would give this a try. I is well built and i like the way it folds up at end of season. can hardly wait to see it in action. the color selection is great also.

The beans haven't grown on it yet, but seems sturdy enough. I bought two. One was a piece of cake to set up in the garden, the other was quite frustrating. I'd have rated the first one a 5 and the other a 2. It comes folded and has a top tier that sets into the bottom tier. On one of the cages, The hinges kept coming apart as I was trying to set the top tier on the bottom tier. The other own opened up and stayed together while I sat the top tier on. Whether the coupling that the top tier on the bottom tier holds up that remains to be seen. I'd tell a friend just to try one or two this year and see how it goes.

I put my tower together and found it very sturdy. My beans are just up so none are climbing yet. The tower was very easy to snap together and since it is green it looks great in my garden.

                          • Pole Beans Sugar Snaps

This is a heavy duty cage, and installed easily. I just set the bottom portion in the bed at the time of planting, and covered with a net so the birds don't eat the sprouts. Should be easy to add the top portion when the seedlings begin to twine and blossom, and the net can come off.

I bought three of these bean towers and have not been disappointed. They are sturdy enough to stand up to some pretty gusty winds but light enough that I can lift them and move them around on my own with ease. They fold up flat for storage but can get stuck so you need to tug a little to get them apart again.

This looks like a great solution for a small space, its still early, but looks really good so far. End of gardening season will tell the tale on the tower.

                                        • Learn how to plan, plant and tend your own super-productive, raised-bed vegetable garden.
                                        • Beans are one of the easiest crops to grow in a home garden. Plant a bean seed, and it will almost certainly grow and produce a generous crop with little effort on the part of the gardener.
