Additional Information

Exclusive | Comfort Anvil Pruners Pamper Hands and Wrists

  • Anvil design reduces hand fatigue
  • Ideal for hard-to-cut, tough, dry wood
  • Sized for smaller hands, with nonslip PVC grip

Anvil-style pruners cut through dry, tough wood up to 5/8" in diameter with less effort or hand strength than bypass pruners, making them a garden shed essential. The double-bevel cutting blade cuts like a knife through wood, applying even pressure on both sides until it hits the flat lower jaw. A rubber shock absorber minimizes stress to hand and wrist, and a toothed center nut allows you to easily align the cutting edge. Includes a plastic holster for safely carrying and storing.

Product Details

  • Blade: high carbon SK-5 steel with nonstick coating
  • Handle: forged steel with anodized finish and PVC coating
  • 7" L

Never! Take it off the internet

By Sal

Comments about : Anvil Pruners:

I bought this pruner thinking it would be great for smaller hands. All true except it does not have a sharp cut. And, the little spring that opens and closes it popped out on first use. I called and GS sent me a replacement. Not good! Same problem. You have a great site and are respected in the gardening community but this product should be scratched...permanently!

Unable to use due to packaging

Comments about : Anvil Pruners:

The plastic sheath that covers the cutting head has a screw that we have not been able to remove. I am sure when we are able to get it off we will put it to good use.

Cons

    Best Uses

    • pruning small bushes and treesndbreaking up

    Comments about : Anvil Pruners:

I have several trees that I trim and need to break up the pruned branches so the trash can be haluled away - my hands aren't too strong, so this gives me leverage to do so.

        Terrific Hand Tool

        By Diane

        from Cicero, NY

        Verified Buyer

        Pros

        • comfortable grip
        • cuts smoothly

        Cons

          Best Uses

          • trimming woody bushes
          • trimming younger tree branches

          Comments about : Anvil Pruners:

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and my hands are a challenge when it comes to finding a hand tool that will do the job and not require a great deal of strength or pressure from my grip. These work great. The handles are comfortable and they easily cut through the woodier plants and younger trees on our property. Don't leave my hands feeling painful after doing the heavier work.
