Comments about : Amaryllis Stakes, Set of 2:

These stakes are great as are all Gardener's Supply floral support products. The only thing to be aware of with these is that they are very tall. I currently have an amaryllis ready to bloom. It is in a smaller pot, so it is not planted very deeply. Without added soil depth to insert, the stake is too tall for the plant stem. Even though the stem is itself, very tall, the bud does not reach the curled end of the stake, making it ineffective. I have 3 other bulbs planted in a deeper pot and know that when they sprout the stakes will work fine.

Use on amaryllis plants for support as they grow. Gave one to my dad for his amaryllis. No assembly. Easy to use. Durable. First time user.

            Too tall

This was ordered to go along with the Amaryllis, however, the stakes are 22 inches. The Amaryllis plant is now where close to being that tall. So they will not work.

These stakes were exactly what I needed to stake tall perennial flowers. The green stakes blended very well with the landscape so they did not take away from the flower beds. The quality was superior as well

Comments about : Amaryllis Stakes, Set of 2:

I have quite an Amaryllis collection (shortens up the winter in Michigan to have beautiful blooms January - April), and so ordered 9 pairs of these. Unfortunately, I realized once they arrived that they are pretty my unusable for staking my Amaryllis flowers - you need to feed the flower stalk into the opening of the curved part, and once it is in there, push the end of the stake into the dirt. The problem is that the stake is too long - even on my tallest flowers. I shall either try to cut the stakes, or just save them to use in my outdoor garden this summer. On the upside, they seen very sturdy - may be very hard to cut them.

Comments about : Amaryllis Stakes, Set of 2:

Have been looking for stakes like these for awhile but didn't buy because the the cost...until i found these. Good value, ordered a bunch of them. While waiting for amaryllis bulbs to sprout I'm using the stakes to prop up other leggy plants in my garden. The green plastic coating is holding up well against the elements. Note, depending on the plant, you may need to use more than one stake to support it.
