These Self-Watering Pot Reservoirs convert your favorite pots into self-watering planters, keeping your plants from drying out and reducing the time you spend watering. Just place this self-contained adjustable reservoir in the bottom of your pot, insert the refill tube and cover with soil. The One-Gallon Conversion Kit holds four quarts and fits pots between 16" and 20" in diameter at the rim. The smaller One-Quart Conversion Kit holds one quart and fits pots up to 10-14" top diameter. Simply fill the reservoir with water through the convenient Fill Tube. The soil will be moistened through evaporative action from the reservoir below. I have used these for years and love them. My outdoor plants require much less attention now. Only problem, the squirrels like to eat the top cover on the fill tube. :(

I refuse to use anything that isn't self-watering and I was so happy that I could keep my favorite pots and simply insert these kits. Really pay attention to sizing before you order.

When snapping together a few pieces broke off as did the piece on top of the tube. I took a chance and ordered the gallon size and they were excellent. So pleased I ordered two more.

          Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:

I had purchased pots in the past that weren't self-watering. We only container garden now and without these, we end up having to water every day - and even then tend to lose many plants. With these in place, we don't have that problem - and it makes it easier when we travel as well.

              Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:

This product works well for keeping your plants watered. I put these in my huge planter after I insert a filler to raise the soil level.
My complaint is that my established plants have to be removed in the fall because the product can't withstand the winter freeze!

                    Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:

The concept sounded good, however unless a plant has already established deep roots, reservoir water does not wick upward toward young and shallower roots. Soil thus stays very wet at bottom and plants damp off.
