    Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:

I love these reservoirs. They reduce the amount of time spent watering container plants and I don't worry when I go on vacation about the plants dying from lack of water. The only problem I had was that my dogs think the plastic is a play toy. I had 4 containers on the back patio and had just finished planting with flowers. I went inside and when I came back out, 3 of the 4 containers had no plants in them. They were lying on the ground in a huge pile of potting soil. The tubes to the reservoirs had been removed from the containers and were strewn all over the back yard and had been chewed up. Still love these, but if you've got dogs, keep an eye on them! I still use the reservoirs for plants in the front yard.

          Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:

I have a large front landscaped area that I wanted to put large pots in with flowers. Since I am in and out of town a lot, watering consistently is a problem for me. These inserts for my pots solve that problem. I can water once a week and my plants are fine. Works great for me.

The only downside when using this in an outdoor location, is that you have to drain the water out in the fall and then cover the pot in plastic so that it doesn't refill and crack the pot.

I bought these self watering kits because I knew I'd be traveling a lot in the summer and nightly watering wouldn't happen. They worked like a charm!

We've had a lot of rain in my area, but on a sunny day my tomatoes are still looking good. Thinking the water reserve is giving water on a sunny day.

Oh the joy of not seeing all the water draining out over the deck on a hot summer day and instead collecting nicely in the reservoir and keeping the soil moist. Such a simple but great investment.

                          Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:

We purchased these reservoirs for cemetery pots in an old country cemetery. The pots bake in the sun and dry out in the wind, and the geraniums (a tradition in our area) struggle every year. Watering once per week is not enough. With the reservoirs, the flowers look great this year, despite some already very hot weather.

Our only complaint is that the covers on the watering tubes don't snap down, so pop open, which could cause more evaporation. We put rocks on top of each cover to keep them closed.
