Exclusive | Easy-to-Tend Elevated Raised Bed Garden Bed is Handsome and Versatile

Bring your garden up to a whole new level! Our 4' x 4' elevated cedar bed is easy to plant, tend and harvest without kneeling or bending. It's perfect for growing all types of vegetables and flowers. Like our other cedar raised beds, the sides are held in place with our sleek and sturdy aluminum corners. There's a false floor made of cedar slats, set 10" down from the top so there's plenty of root space for vegetables and flowers. Excess water drains through slats; vents in the sides allow air to circulate and excess moisture to evaporate.

  • Cedar with aluminum corners and imported fabric liner
  • 4' W x 4' L x 29" H
  • Planting depth is 10"
  • Holds 329 quarts of soil
  • Assembly required

        • Metal Not Packed At All

        Best Uses

We purchased 4 planter boxes; unfortunately the metal was not wrapped for protection during shipping, resulting in some of the corner ends being bent, and having to deal with getting them square enough for the end cap to fit. Also, one of the bracing blocks (not sure if that's the correct term - the smallest piece for the bed floor) was too wide, so the only way for it to fit was to saw it.

Previous reviews had mentioned the damaged corner issue, so I am surprised it has not been rectified. The boxes are so beautiful, it's a shame to have crummy looking metal corners. A little padded packing material would go a long way.

Am anxious to plant the veggie garden, primarily tomatoes, and see how they do with a 10' planting depth.

          Beautiful but Quality Control Lacking

          By Alexa

We bought two of these raised beds. They are BEAUTIFUL. We had been debating building our own and there is no way that our Do-It-Yourself construction would have come anywhere close to what these items look like. A few of the metal corners where bent. Not sure if that happened during shipping. It doesn't seem like it as they were well packed. So a bit more effort in quality control would be good. That being said, we took a pair of vice grips and where able to bend the metal back into place to build the beds. Also, the issue was pretty minimal all in all, so much so that we are ordering a third. We just planted the ones we have and I love the fact that they are raised. No bending or stooping. Wonderful.

I wanted a raised bed garden 3 years ago and waited too long so they were unavailable. Last year my husband and I made the purchase and we couldn't be happier. We chose to add soil mixed with water retention and fertilizer properties - this lessens the soil weight as well. We had the best peppers, lettuce, bush zucchini, radishes, carrots, cilantro and basil ever! The product looks stylish, the quality is excellent and it held up to the midwest winter! We loved it so much we bought a second for this year. It is a delight to garden without worrying about rabbits! I can't say enough about this product or Gardener's Supply for that matter. Just excellent all around.

Pleased with the product. I do believe that you should mark the bracing block because it can easily be mistaken for packing material and discarded. It was the lag screw that tipped me off to its intended use.

Raised bed was gift for Mother's Day. Was ordered on 4/10/13 and was shown as in stock. Mother's day was on 5/12/13 and was not delivered until 5/22/13. Had to visit empty handed! My next chance to visit and assemble product will be after planting season. Purchase was a bust!

                  Best Uses

The wood & height are perfect for a tall raised bed but assembly is difficult. So far, we have had to buy a long screwdriver (available ONLY at auto supply stores) and screws. It takes two people because the screw holes don't line up so one person has to force-hold the pieces while another uses a rubber mallet to get the holes lined up. The wood screws don't go all the way through the 2 holes so don't hold the two pieces well. Why wood screws for metal pieces?

Very attractive raised gardening bed that is deep enough to support tall plants and wide enough that you can fill it with several varieties of vegetables. I did not buy the additional screen/greenhouse canopy but plan to add my own. It is constructed from cedar which should last in the weather for a number of years. I am very pleased with this product and anxious for warmer weather so I can start planting!

I had been downsizing my garden over the last few years, as it has been harder to bend and crawl on the ground. These have allowed me to have all the garden I want with no bending or crawling required. They were easy to assemble. My 15 year old grandson and I put 4 together in a few hours. They are easy to plant in, maintain and harvest from. I treated them with Thompson wood sealer, to help preserve the pretty cedar wood color. They really look nice.
