Exclusive | Grow Potatoes, Peppers, Melons and More in Easy-Care Grow Beds — Now in Periwinkle Blue

  • Bright blue bed is an attractive addition to your landscape year-round
  • Raised beds are the most productive way to garden, with high yields in a minimum amount of space
  • A generous 10" deep; ideal for all types of crops
  • Choice of two sizes
  • How much soil? Use the Soil Calculator to figure out how much you need for this raised bed

Who says raised beds should blend into the landscape? These are meant to be seen! The bright periwinkle blue color looks great planted with vegetables, herbs or flowers and provides a year-round splash of color that’s especially welcome during the drab days of winter. Raised beds are the most productive way to garden, and this Grow Bed makes it easy. The interlocking corners snap together in an instant and the rigid sides hold soil without bulging. We made them a generous 10" deep so they’re suitable for all crops, including root crops like potatoes and carrots.

  • UV-stable polypropylene
  • Two sizes: 3' x 3' x 10" D and 3' W x 6' L x 10" D
  • Assembly required; 3' x 6' Bed requires a drill
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

    Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

The 3x3 periwinkle grow beds, together with some chicken wire and hardware cloth on the bottom, not only allowed me to create small enough enclosures to deter our voracious woodchucks, but they make the vegetable garden colorful and pretty in the process. They were easy to assemble, look and perform exactly as advertised, and I'm back for more.

      Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

We bought 2 3'x3' grow beds, and made them into (1) 3'x9' bed, giving us more room. Easy to put together and install. But if you do put them together, you have to support the sides with some heavy stakes, otherwise the weight of the dirt, when filled, will cause the sides to bulge out. Great color! Afraid black would be too hot in our southwest heat.

I have a yard that has many mature trees. So, there is a good deal of shade. I can position the grow boxes just where I need them to get the most sunlight. The color also adds a nice touch to the yard.

I got the 3 x 6' garden box and be sure u read the correct directions which I didn't. But it worked out well anyway. My plants look great but be sure they are heat tolerant.

                Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

I have four different versions of raised beds now -- wood and plastic. These are the ones I will eventually replace them all with. Assembly took about three minutes. They are tall enough. The color is so beautiful with the green of vegetables. I think the price is excellent for the quality. I am delighted with this purchase. I also purchased a bed liner mostly as a trial. I prefer the bed without one, but if you were putting yours on a hard surface like a patio, you will find no dirt escapes making a mess of things. (Earwigs will be happy to live underneath though.)

                  Comments about Periwinkle Grow Beds:

The grow box edges were sharp and uncomfortable to lean an arm or hand on as you were trying to work or plant in the box. Also found that sides bulged after being filled with dirt. We disassembled and are sending back if the cost of mailing does not exceed the cost of the box.

At first I thought the price was a bit much (I bought both a large and a small one with the liners as well), but when it was put together and used, I found I am actually saving money. No more tossing dirt out of pots every year or battling weeds (as I did with a regular garden). I use the same soil every year, just rotate where the tomatoes are planted and add fertilizer when needed.
