Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
I use this to store chopped up leaves for my compost bins. It is large and holds the leaves well, but I wish the "pins" holding it upright were not wood as I'm sure they'll rot with time. I wouldn't compost in this with the open bottom and top.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
I look forward to corralling all the leaves (many, many) in our yard and making useful mulch and compost out of them with this spacious and handsome leaf composter.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
This is a simple inexpensive, large capacity composter. It is easy to set up and is perfect for leaves, grass clippings and kitchen scraps can be worked into it. Turning the compost may be difficult for some but I find it's not too necessary because there is so much aeration through the sides and top. It produced perfect compost. I even bought a second one so I can have one finishing while I am filling the second. No other composter can compete in price or capacity.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
I run my leaves thru my leaf vacuum which breaks them up and causes them to compost faster. I like my first one so well I bought two more at your recent sale.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
The heavy plastic panel are the right weight and construction but should be 1/3 longer for a bin diameter of four feet, the ideal size for a compost pile to heat up properly by protecting the bacteria from drying out or the pile to cool too quickly. The support system is too weak and I make a framework for the bin out of 4" concrete wire and then use this product as a liner. Now it stands on its own and is easy to slip up and off the pile, set to one side and the pile turned back into the bin making sure the outer leaves are turned into the center of the pile at each turning. Once a week is good exercise.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
The anchoring system supplied with the composter is inadequate for a windy area--especially since the clip caps for the tops of the stakes were missing from the parts supplied with BOTH of the compost bins ordered. What should have been a short and simple assembly task became a more lengthy quest for a suitable alternate method of anchoring.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
I am a garderner by blood...there were 12 in my family, so planting veggies was always in our back yard or we worked on the farms. I loved this compost and really need another one. The only compliant I have was there was only 5 fasterners and not enough stakes to hold it down. But otherwise, it was great...I can't wait to see my results...

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
Rolling compost bins get too heavy to roll. This bin is light enough to move so that its contents are easily turned and added to. This is my first experience with composting and this item should be perfect for helping my garden go organic.

stakes provided to support compactor not long or strong enough to be of any help. One broke immediately. Had to use somethng else to support inside.

Comments about Big Bin Leaf Composter:
The overall size and flexibility makes it easy to set up and use. The clips that hold the stakes to the top rim break easily. We have three unboken out of eight and have exercised great care in the assembly, especially with the second one. Please find another solution and send me clips to replace these!
I'm using these exclusively for leaves and am just filling them this fall so have no review of how durable the bins are or how well they aerate and compost the leaves. I have a large 3-bin composter which we made and use for kitchen and garden waste, which I layer with leaves, either fresh or composted.
