I would buy this product again and again

Received for my birthday in August. I was able to wrap the support structure around some already established tomatoes and effectively "cage" them for excellent support. Absolutely love the product.

A disaster!

By Green Grower

from Coos Bay, OR

The tall zig-zag tomato trellis is poorly constructed and next-to-impossible to assemble. The panels came apart as I was unfolding it. Top and bottom segments that need to fit together required several hands as well as pliers, vice grips, and rubber mallet. I ended up laying the whole thing in the drive way and enlisting the help of 2 neighbors to fit the pieces together. Then it all fell apart again as we were carrying it to the garden. It took us 45 minutes to get one trellis set up. I still have 3 more that I haven't had the energy to attempt to set up.

I love to be able to curve the tomato cage. It fits in almost any spot, at the end of a row close to the fence even if it does not follow a straight line.

This product was great for my indeterminate tomatoes. Strong and sturdy and tall enough to support the plants.

        Did the job well

        By Solar gardener

        Pros

        • Easy to set up

        Cons

          Best Uses

          • With plants already in

I put this in around slightly crowded plants that were already 1-2'tall. A tomato cage would have been a problem to place over the plants. Worked perfectly for the plant spacing.

          Good fencing, bit expensive

          By VW

          from Pittsburgh, PA

          Verified Buyer

          Pros

          • Grid size perfect
          • Nice looking
          • Overall size good
          • Works well

          Cons

          • A bit tricky to assemble
          • Overpriced

          Best Uses

          • Climbing vines
          • Tomatoes

Nice fencing and grid aperture is perfect size--reasonably sturdy, but a bit tricky to assemble given that top half has to insert into bottom half--if one piece is slightly bent it will become hard to assemble and unusable, so is probably best left assembled to store over winter.
