These were sent to my son in Minot, ND. I have no personal knowledge, but he wears them when he walks to work in the morning. He is a young guy and a sensitive about appearances, but I think he will use them more and more as the snow and ice accumulate.

Allows me to walk more safely in snow & slush in Minn after hip surgery. I am also taking them to Alaska when I go for my nieces wedding.

These are a requirement when pushing a snowblower. Great quality, seem like they will last a long time, and value priced.

I deliver newspapers 365 days a year. I have fallen on many icy driveways, walks, stairs and streets. Last winter I hit my head when I fell and was knocked unconscious. My son got me some snow traxs which helped but they kept coming off and I lost them several times. This winter I stepped on a small ball of ice in the middle of my foot where there where no metal cleats so I rolled with the ball of ice. I pulled all the ligaments in my hip which was very painful and made it impossible to even dress myself for several weeks. My sister-in-law recommended that I find Yaktrax which is what her doctor told her she was to use after she shattered her ankle. When I found these I was excited to try them. My husband has to help me stretch them to get them on my boots but that's fine since they STAY ON and they have metal on the TOES, INSTEP and HEEL for FULL protection. YEAH! I have not fallen nor lost my yaktrax since I got them. Once I didn't get the toe up over the toe of my boot enough and it slipped off under my boot but the velcro strap that goes over the toe kept it from coming all the way off and getting lost. YEAH! Thank you Gardeners for carrying such a wonderful product. I have recommended it to people at work.

Comments about Yaktrax® Pro, Pair:
By far, the best gift I've ever given my Dad. He fell twice prior to using them. Much to his amazement, they kept him safely upright, regardless of the surface or weather condition - even 'black ice' that was not visible to the eye. Now he won't go outside without them on! Mission, accomplished! Thanks, Gardener's Supply!

Comments about Yaktrax® Pro, Pair:
I take my dog for 1/2 -1/2 hour walks twice a day and needed something to help prevent me from falling when Illinois weather gets very icey. I went through 2 pairs of regular yak trax last winter and thought the Pro pair would be better. The size chart showed I should buy a small pair, but they are almost impossible to get on my boots, often flying off as I try to pull them on. After only one month of use, the portion of the straps that are looped through the traxs to anchor them to each trax, became frayed and I had to take them off. I just hope they last through the winter, for they do help a great deal with the walks!

Comments about Yaktrax® Pro, Pair:
I walk my dog a couple miles each day and most people don't shovel their walks, so the yaktrax keep me from falling.
They provide purchase on ice, but are slick on tile floors.
They are difficult for an old guy like me to put on - I may need to take a yoga class.
I have arthritis in my hands, and that makes it difficult, too.
