I took this planter to a garden center for them to plant outside flowers for the spring/summer. I got a call from the center and they said there was a defect in the bottom of the planter, that the material inside the planter was coming apart. She still felt comfortable planting in it this year, but for this price, I expected better quality.

I live in Arizona and it gets hot, hot, hot! I have to water my plants twice a day. If I don't have the time one morning, they dry and die,ugh! This pot makes it easier so I don't have to water so often, plants never dry out. The only thing I don't like is the float gets caught on the edge of the water reservoir and is hard to get loose.

This planter really looks like a ceramic one. The color is lovely, yet it is very lightweight and easy to move around. Because it is self-watering, I use it on my patio and only have to water the flowers once a week when the roots grow down to the water. A huge help since I work full time and travel a lot and no one else in the family has a green thumb. I recommend it without reservation.
