Comments about Worm Factory®:
Have it in a spare bathroom where it's warm. Works great - no odor. Live in Colorado and have been buying worm castings and rose garden looks great. Looking forward to harvesting my own. Also use the liquid for my lawn in Colorado which is hard to keep green and this works better than any fertilizer I have ever bought.

Comments about Worm Factory®:
Great product. Easy to setup, simple to use. Described affectionately by my local vermiculture collective as "the Rolls-Royce of worm bins", I can see why after setting it up and getting it going. You can pay less for a different model or make your own, but if your time is as precious as mine it is likely worth it to spend a few more dollars on the front-end to save time and make harvesting easier. USA-made from recycled materials is also a huge bonus.

Comments about Worm Factory®:
I wanted to comment on the worm factory as I have had 1 for a year now. The first time I tried it, I put in too much food (from a family of 4) for the worms to handle. I had a lot of fruit flies, slime mold, and I killed all the worms. I tried again, ordered 2 lbs. of worms instead of 1 lb., and only gave a little bit of food at a time. In fact, what I found that worked best was to put my food scraps in the regular composter, and then feed partially decomposed food and shredded newspaper to the worms. I probably only filled 1 tray per month. As others have commented, the capacity of the worm factory is not sufficient for 4 people. Also, it is not as easy to get the compost out. Not all of the worms migrate to the top bin. I sill find myself picking out worms in the bottom bins. However, the collection tray does fill up quite quickly and using the liquid on my plants is very easy. This composter is still the best out there and you are able to use the end products easier than a typical barrel composter.

Comments about Worm Factory®:
This bin while a bit pricey (if you're used to just creating your own) is nice and worth the price. We've had absolutely no odor problems, the worms seem happy and it's nice to have the multiple layers. I also liked the instructions that came with it.

Comments about Worm Factory®:
Before starting up our worm project in the Worm Factory we were filling up a dumpster weekly getting rid of waste in the kitchen. We have a composter in the back yard and I thought we were using up most of the cuttings from the kitchen there until I got the Worm Factory and put the pro's to work. Now we usually fill our dumpster once every 2 weeks. The little red guys are eating up a storm and I'm goint to start up a second Worm Factory with night crawlers to sell some fishing worms. The castings are great to help our garden grow as well... I cant say enough about this product. Love it! John

Comments about Worm Factory®:
I am new to the whole composting arena, this product is easy to use and understand. The booklet that came with it made the whole start up super easy. I have it sitting in the office in my house. We have dogs and cats, no one bothers the unit because there is absolutely NO SMELL. I add food scraps about every other day and mist with water to keep the paper moist. I intend on using the compost in my garden and some of the worms as treats for my chickens.

Comments about Worm Factory®:
After worm composting in a large plastic container, I decided to try the Worm Factory. I have been using it for a month and find that it makes composting my kitchen garbage very easy. It is compact and convenient to use. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about worm composting.
