Comments about Woodpecker Seed Mix, 5 Lbs.:
Feeding bakcyard birds, this Woodpecker food goes fast. Woodpecckers, chickadees, nuthatches, almost all birds flock to this mixture. Plus, it's high in protein and fat to keep the birds warm in winter.

I put it out for the woodpeckers. A lot of birds like the mixture. The downy woodpeckers seem to go to the suet mostly.

I use this seed in the acorn feeder and the woodpeckers, etal seem to like it. Unfortunately, the squirrels think it was put out for them only.

Comments about Woodpecker Seed Mix, 5 Lbs.:
The first time I put this out, we were having a beautiful snowfall. I was impressed with the product as soon as I opened it -- it smelled and looked like I should put it on the cocktail table. The nuthatches were the first to discover it, and the rest came later, creating a real Winter Wonderland in the back woods. Actually, the woodpeckers seems to like suet better, but their friends are glad we stock this.

The birds love this stuff! I buy all kinds of birdseed and bird food mixes. This is one of the most popular among a wide variety of birds. Only drawback is you have to keep re-filling your feeder. But seeing three different species of woodpeckers, plus chickadees, titmice, etc. eating it in just one day makes it well worth it.
