Wirework baskets create storage space where and when you need it. Perfect for storing produce in the pantry — the open wire provides good airflow to prolong storage life. They're also ideal for organizing clutter throughout the house. Three nesting wire baskets with covers are made from powder-coated steel to protect the contents and prevent rust. Add the custom jute liners (sold separately) to contain small items and store potatoes and onions in darkness.

These baskets are ear-marked for keeping root vegetables and fruits usable over the winter months. I have a very old house and the basement is ideal for a root cellar but I have to keep my cats out of things - so hanging baskets are ideal. I can also see hanging herbs to dry from either the bottom of the basket or seperating the lids and hanging herbs from them. I thought the lids attached to the basket but they don't so I'm glad there are hanging rings on the basket as well as the lid.

Haven't really used them yet, as they were purchased for a vacation home. I would recommend getting the unpainted ones. When we unpacked the box a couple of the baskets had chipped paint--we discussed exchanging them (exchanging at GS is VERY easy) but my husband opted to repaint them, since he already had some auto quality red paint. I look forward to using them.

Nice baskets for holding fruit and vegetables. I bought on clearance so it was a good deal. I did not buy at the regular price because wire baskets didn't seem worth the original price.
