Economical, Expandable Compost Bin
- Large bin is ideal for composting leaves and yard waste
- Made of long-lasting, heavy-gauge steel with a rust-resistant plastic coating
- Holds a generous 16 cu. ft.
- Save when you buy the 3-Bin Composting System
You may need only one composter most of the year, but where can you put that mountain of leaves every fall? This wire bin holds 16 cubic feet (102 dry gallons) of leaves and garden scraps, without the investment of an enclosed composter. In fact, it's so inexpensive that many gardeners use three together: one to collect waste, one for cooking compost, and one for finished compost. The 3-Bin System includes 10 panels total; bins are not stand-alone and must be connected to each other (spiral connectors included).

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
I replaced my pallet composter with this. It's much more attractive and actually blends in to the yard rather than standing out. Small stuff spills out so I might do what someone else suggested and line it with chicken wire or mesh. But otherwise I'm very happy with it and might buy another one.

Single compost bin is perfect size for my garden needs. Difficult to assemble, but worth the effort.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
This is the second bin I have purchased. It's nearing time for fall leaves and I didn't want to put them in the same bin as my completed compost. When I put the bins together, I leave one corner open and hold it together with clips or clothespins. That way I can open it and stir my compost easily. If the need were to arise, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. It is simple to use, reasonably priced and does the job it was designed to do. Winner all the way around.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
Right now it's full of grass clippings, but it's cooking down quickly. I'm glad the clippings aren't piled all over that corner of the yard any more.
Pros
- Good price value
Cons
- Odd configuration
Best Uses
- Coffee Grounds
- Ecological Waste Disposal
- Fruit Rinds
- Kitchen Scraps
Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
The composter sides are joined by odd spring-looking connectors that I found a bit awkward to assemble. I purchased it because of its comparatively reasonable price but previously I owned one with a similar design that used long, thin metal rods that went into the ground as connectors. I preferred that set up to the method used by this composter.
