I have it mounted on a french door where it is protected from direct sunlight and can be more accurate. Very easy to read from across the room. Have had it mounted less than a month but seems to be accurate for the 24hour span. Would definately recommend this to others.

Bought this as a gift for my father, he was excited and put it up right away. The only draw back so far is that it cannot be read at night and he works night shift, dark when he leaves and dark when he returns home, so he likes to know the temperature before leaving the house.

I placed this on the bedroom window that is opened a few inches at night. It shows a warmer temp that TV. This is logical, but it seems to do it when the window is closed. This is an energy efficient window that was just installed. I marked not recommended, but this might work in a different place.

The basic thermometer is perfect for the gardener who tracks the weather. One of the best features is its reporting of the daily high and low temps. Easy to read, it's handy to glance at throughout the day to help you plan. Curiosity is not satisfied after dark, however. Since this is on my window, when the outside light goes, so does the ability to see what the display reads. Remember to remove the plastic film which has preprinted display info on it. I didn't and couldn't read it at first, because the film overlaid the actual readings! (Felt a little dumb about that.) Once I removed that, it was great. This is definitely worth the price. It is one handy gadget.
